Calling All SAIs….
W e are in need of Hostesses, Co-Hostesses and Performers for our meetings and the American Musicale. If you are interested in helping or need more information, please contact us at [email protected].
Chicago Convention Dates
C hicago has been chosen as the site of the 45th National Convention. The Marriott Lincolnshire Resort will host SAIs from around the country from July 30 to August 3, 2009. Start planning now to try to attend this wonderful event.
New Online Network
SAI now offers the SAI Circle, a professional and social network. The Circle is an online community that allows sisters to connect with each other from all over the world. You can update other members with your contact information and activities, share photos, and more. It is 100% free and the only place to dynamically interact with everyone in your SAI network.
Once you enroll be sure to join the Houston Alumnae Chapter and Kappa D Province Groups to be kept up to date on local events and meetings.
Yearbook
T he yearbook has been distributed, and if you have not yet received yours, please contact Kim Everett to set up a time for you to pick up your yearbook as it is cost prohibitive to mail them to everyone. If you wish to have your yearbook mailed to you, the postage cost is $7 per mailing. All ACTIVE members are eligible to receive a yearbook. If you are a SUPPORTING member and wish to also receive a yearbook, the cost is $5 each plus the cost of mailing ($7) for a total of $12. Please make your checks out to SAI Houston Alumnae Chapter and contact Kim Everett at sai_houston@hotmail to make arrangements.
Remember yearly updates will be emailed to members for them to print out to insert into their notebooks.
New Affiliates
T he Houston Alumnae Chapter would like to extend a warm sisterly welcome to our two newest affiliates Dawn Myers and Brianna Asher. Dawn has a Bachelors in Music Education and plays the clarinet, and Brianna has a Bachelors of Choral Music Education and is a Mezzo Soprano. You will be receiving an email soon to add their individual pages to your yearbooks.
“Flavors of SAI” Cookbooks
O ur current fundraising project is underway. If you are not a native Texan, please send recipes that represent where you grew up, including any tidbits of historical information. If you have any recipes that you would like to be considered for the cookbook, please send them to [email protected].
