Welcome to the
Houston Alumnae Chapter!!!
Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI), International Music Fraternity, was organized on June 12, 1903 at the University School of Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan As of the 2007-2008 year, its membership included 212 active college chapters, 120 alumnae chapters throughout the United States and one international chapter. A total membership of 107,902! Currently in the Houston Alumnae Chapter we have twenty-nine active, thirteen supporting members, one patroness and three Friends of the Arts.

Katy Dixie Memorial Scholarship
The Katy Dixie Memorial Scholarship is a $350 scholarship based solely on talent and presented to a local undergraduate member of SAI.

New Region Assignments
Due to the growth of our beloved fraternity, it was deemed necessary to divide chapter up into eight regions instead of the previous five. The Kappa D province is now in Region II and our new Region Officer is Aileen Todd.
