I am a Christian-monarchist-Texan, as odd a description as that may sound. Living in Texas, the monarchy part is largely academic, however, I have been able to spread at least a touch of awareness on the subject of traditional authority as Chairman of the Royalist Party of America from 1999-2003. This political stance, no matter how theoretic and harmless, nevertheless has earned me more than a few enemies among the misguided-patriot crowd, but also allowed me to meet some of the most wonderful people from around the country who are also members of America's loyalist minority.
The place where I hang my hat is on the Crisp Ranch of Artesia Wells, Texas. That is, about 100 miles from the city of my birth, San Antonio (heart of Texas culture) and about 50 miles north of the Mexican border cities of Laredo/Nuevo Laredo. Cattle is still how I make most of my living, however I also substitute teach and make the rounds as a guest speaker at local schools, in historical period attire, usually to talk about the Texas Revolution or the American Civil War.
Alas, however, most of my time is spent in Laredo at Texas A&M International University where I am furthering my education in history and geography.
I am a member of the International Monarchist League and keep up as well with Britain's Constitutional Monarchy Association.
My first years in university, as well as showing me how corrupt and atheistic liberalism is, also gave me my first shocking look at 'normal' values in the modern world. This, along with some other factors caused me to finally get my spiritual affairs in order. After attending (but never joining) the Church of God 7th Day for my entire life until then, I converted (so to speak) and joined the Roman Catholic Church with the help of Reverend Father John Van Lare CM and my sister's father-in-law Mr. Jimmy Nickell. Since then I have been a regular member at Sacred Heart Church in Cotulla, Texas.
