| The mortal races having been recently created wander the realm existing as hunter-gatherers. circa 5000 FA (First Age) The first settlements are established. circa 6000 FA The first cities emerge from the primitive settlements. The worshipping of the many gods, previously existing as scattered cults, becomes an organized religion. Vinincia, Pyron, Saldonna, Quantivilles, Kuladar, and Tenaria each have a priesthood established in their names. Magic is first discovered and its practicioners, called mages, are persecuted by the priesthoods. circa 6500 FA Mythical city of Azatlan is said to have been founded by an enlightened seafaring people and served as the capital of their far-flung empire. The location of which is still in dispute to this day. Who the people worship is unknown. 7249 FA Having seen enough suffering, Izneria makes it known directly to the grand high priests of the major religions that mages, from this moment forward, will be considered followers of him and under his protection. To ensure their safety, he organizes them and appoints a council to oversee them. It is now referred to as the "First Council". circa 7750 FA Azatlan is destroyed in a mighty cataclysm and the island it is on sinks beneath the waves. Legends state that gods destroyed this great city. circa 8000 FA A priesthood is established in the worship of Gaea. Its cleric-priests are known as druids. They are limited in numbers because of their intensely secretive nature. They keep to themselves in the many forests and unsettled places of the realm. 8135 FA The mages are fully formalized into orders based upon style used. Izneria leaves mages to their own lives. 8674 FA The High Priestess of the Carpe' Nacht, Andriahende, founds the Knighthood of Lunar dedicated to the Dark God. Their headquarters, the Saliadoran, is built in the northeast of Jafre over the next hundred years. 8860 FA A cleric of Kuladar seeking immortality from his god and is turned into a vampire -- releasing this curse upon the realm. circa 8900 FA Each continent has been fully divided into kingdoms. Industrial activities begin in earnest. Artificers, makers of magical machines called artifacts, emerge from industrial areas. Mages watch them closely. |
