| Born of the largest and purest of the maelstroms, Izneria was given dominion over all magic. No other born god can match his power single-handedly. He controls the flow of mana energy through Lord Garren's palace into the realm of Kryastal. To carry out this duty, he was shown how to leave Kryastal and travel to the palace in between dimensions. None of the other born gods was shown this ability. Consequently, jealousy exists toward him among his brethren who know that if the creators should ever choose to leave Kryastal, Izneria would be given the title of Lord. Most resentful of the special relationship with the Lords, Ryder specifically, is the goddess of wind Vinincia. In the early days of the born gods, though Ryder was not present, his influence on Izneria was readily apparent to the high gods. Though all born gods are referred to as the Lords' children, Gaea often refers to Ryder, specifically, as his "father", much to the chagrin of Vinincia who chafes any paternal association with someone other than Kuladar. Upon the Lord's return, the relationship was fully embraced by Ryder and the god of magic. In modern times, he is not actively influential in the lives of the common people, but his presence is greatly felt among the mages and historical scholars. The major act of this god was to end the Mage-Artificer War with the destruction of the continent of Valdross. This led to the expression "Izneria's choice" meaning an extreme last resort. It is uncertain what role he will play in the future of Kryastal, but one thing is sure, he will be there. |
