Delia Roger
Delia limps with a cane to the door of the Coleridge residence. Roger follows her. He apologizes for not being there when she came. Delia explains that she doesn't want to get into a fight, it's just that that insecure wife of his, Maggie Shelby Coleridge. Delia accuses her of being eaten up with jealousy and of having no sense of humor. Roger explains that it's not Maggie's fault -- she hasn't had much to laugh about, Delia's return wasn't at the best time, and they're still newlyweds. Delia says that it's not fair -- after all, she's almost lame and people treat her like she's got the bubonic plague, but do you see her (Delia) complaining? No! Delia explains that Maggie just doesn't seem to understand her. "Dee, anyone who professes to understanding you should have his head examined," Roger quips.
Delia & Roger Delia & Roger
Delia grins. "You know, you're my only husband who has ever enjoyed the elf in me." She hops towards Roger seductively. (Well, as seductively as you can get when you're hopping around on one leg) Roger says that they had some good times together. Delia begins to rub his cheek, but then she loses her balance and almost falls. Roger helps her stand up and Delia hugs him. "Goodnight, Roger," Delia says. "If your ankle starts throbbing, put an ice pack on it," Roger advises. "That's not what's throbbing, and you know it. Don't tell me you're not feeling what I'm feeling, because I wouldn't be feeling it if you weren't," Delia shoots back at him. Delia hops to the door, opens it, and leaves.
The Mansion Joe
A car is seen driving through the English countryside -- inside it are Siobhan and Max Dubujack. Siobhan and Max talk about how beautiful the area is. They arrive at a huge house that Max wanted to show her. Siobhan says she's overwhelmed by it. "We don't have to buy it if you don't like it," Max tells her. Siobhan quickly tells him that she loves it. "I'm almost speechless!" Siobhan exclaims. "That'll be the day!" Max quickly quips. As Siobhan and Max continue to talk, the camera focuses on a window -- a man, Joe Novak (who has undergone plastic surgery), is watching them!

Siobhan and Max enter the large mansion. The maid and major domo are excited to see Max. Siobhan is ecstatic about the house. Max tells her that he'll give her a grand tour of the estate. Again, as they talk, a man can be seen watching them from a place upon the house's stairwell.

Bess & Homer
Meanwhile, in Bess' apartment (?), Bess Shelby and the Coleridge butler, Homer Dowd, are looking through a scrapbook of pictures. Homer comes across a picture of Ed Coleridge, and says he looks familiar. Bess tells him that's because he looks like Roger -- it's his father, Ed! Homer asks her if it's hard to think about her relationship with Ed, and she tells him it isn't. She just wishes she had more time with him. Bess shows him a picture of Maggie in her playpen in front of their trailer home, and Homer comments that Maggie seems to remember her old home with horror. She tells him that, at the time, Maggie loved it -- that is, until she found out how other people live. Homer tells Bess that he's sure she could make any place seem like home. He then tells her about someone (the person he used to work for?) who lived in a mansion in Newport -- but he felt more at home in a tent on the Serengeti than anywhere else. Bess asks him if the Serengeti is in Italy. Looking a bit surprised, he tells her it's in Kenya and begins talking about it.
Maggie DELIA REID NABBED IN ENBEZZLEMENT SCHEME
Maggie enters the room. At first she's perplexed over why Homer and Bess are together (Maggie: "What are you doing, here, Mr. Dowd?" Bess: "He's belly dancing"), but then goes onto another subject. She asks whether Homer gave Delia back everything she brought into the house. Homer tells her she did. Maggie mentions that one thing, however, was missing -- a newspaper clipping! Maggie takes it out and shows them the headline -- "DELIA REID NABBED IN EMBEZZLEMENT SCHEME!" Maggie grins.
Siobhan & Max
Meanwhile, in England, Siobhan and Max begin to walk outside. Siobhan tells him some things about her childhood and brings up Mary. She talks about how she wishes Mary were still alive. They sit down at a table that has been set for them, as Joe watches from a distance.
Maggie, Bess, & Homer Bess
Back at Bess', Bess asks Maggie where she got the newspaper. Maggie tells her that she was looking for identification in the bag and it just popped right out! "The point is," Maggie explains, "Delia is a criminal. Practically the entire Mexican police force is out after her!" Maggie senses that they know something that they aren't telling her. Homer explains that a very rude man with a Mexican accent called the house and wanted to speak with "Gringo Reid." He hung up because of how rude the man was. Maggie starts to think about the possibilities -- maybe Delia was involved in some Tijuana crime ring and she betrayed them, and now they're out to get her! Bess tells her not to get started with her crazy ideas. Maggie continues, saying that Delia was probably in some Mexican prison before she came back. Homer comments that, if that were so, she wouldn't look as good as she does. Maggie still continues, saying that she probably was hiding from the police in Palm Desert until she ran out of money, at which point she came back to New York to get money from Roger.
Bess & Maggie Homer
"Over my dead body is she going to hurt that man!" Maggie proclaims. "Bravo!" Mr. Dowd says with enthusiasm, as Bess shoots daggers at him with her eyes. Maggie tells Mr. Dowd to book her a flight to Tijuana. Bess objects. Homer tells her that the last time Maggie went on a quest for the truth that it didn't turn out the way she wanted, and it might be the same this time, too. Maggie is still determined to go. Bess is afraid that Maggie is going to get hurt. "What really hurts," she tells her mother, "is seeing Delia trying to steal my husband!" Bess tells her that Roger loves her, not Delia. Maggie feels that, if Bess wanted to protect her, she'd support her. Homer assures Maggie that Delia is not any better than she is -- after all, Maggie has beauty, charm, grace, and style. "We're not talking about style, we're talking about crooks -- on our doorstep -- they have our phone number!" At that moment, the phone rings. Maggie answers.
Delia Maggie
It's Delia! She asks if Maggie's alone. Maggie lies and says that she is. Delia inquires about Mr. Dowd and tells Maggie that she should check into his background. Maggie, trying to not chuckle, asks if anything was missing. Delia says there wasn't anything missing, but it seemed like her things were kind of . . . handled . . . she should just keep an eye on him. Delia tells her she has to go and hangs up. Afterwards, Delia giddily tells herself: "She bit!"

Bess exclaims, "She knows you've been looking through her purse!" No, Maggie tells her, she thinks Mr. Dowd has. She was quaking in her boots! Once again, she tells Mr. Dowd to book her tickets for a flight and tells them it's time to pick sides -- either hers or Delia's.

Bess asks Maggie to tell Roger about the clipping and the phone call from the Mexican. Maggie doesn't want to -- he'll think she's a snoop! "You are a snoop, but he'll forgive you," Bess snaps. "He won't believe anything bad about Delia unless I put it in his lap!" Maggie tries to explain to her. Homer doesn't think Maggie knows what she's getting into -- Tijuana is no place for a lady! Maggie says that she'll stay with a ex-model friend of hers who lives in San Diego. After all, she'll be safe -- her friend is married to a wrestler. She’ll just have to tell Roger that she has to go on a modeling job. Bess thinks it's insane -- and, that if Maggie has to go, she wants to go with her. Maggie objects . . . she just wants Bess to cover for her. "I'm fighting for my future!" She also wants them to keep Roger out of Delia's clutches. Bess tells her she should stay in New York and do it herself. "I'm protecting Roger from an even greater evil than seduction," Maggie retorts, gripping the newspaper. "Bankruptcy!" Bess and Homer promise to protect Roger from Delia.

Siobhan & Max
Back in England, Siobhan and Max stroll outside. Max says that, during the summertime, the entire place is covered with beautiful daffodils. Max shows her some beautiful rose hybrids. He had them developed in one of his laboratories . . . and had it named the Siobhan Rose! He cuts one of them for her and gives it to her. Siobhan asks her if they really need another house -- they already have apartments in Rome and Paris that are sitting empty, their home in New York, and they were planning on spending next year in Brittany so that Sean could learn about Max's ancestry. Max promises they'll fly to their new English home as often as possible. Meanwhile, back in the house, Joe creeps through one of the rooms that contains Siobhan and Max's luggage. He begins to look through the pieces of luggage.
