Closing
Closing #1 (1975-1978)
Technically, this isn't the first version of the closing. In the original, which lasted a few weeks, each cast member was credited on a separate screen and often times only a few cast members would be credited per episode. However, a few weeks after the premiere, the show switched to scroll credits which ran over a shot of an empty set. Originally, the cast and crew were credited in the same scroll; however, in 1976, the show switched to two versions of the scroll credits: one for the cast and one for the crew. The two versions would alternate. If there wasn't enough time, the show's title, production location (ABC Television Center), and production company would be the only things displayed. This style of billing was kept until the show's last episode in 1989.

Closing #2 (1978-1984)
In late 1978, the show made a minor adjustment to its closing credits. The font was changed. This lasted until early 1984.

Closing #3 (1984-1989)
In early 1984, the closing credits received their only major overhaul during the show's run. The font was changed to a Starsky & Hutch type font, and the credits now ran over stills from that day's episode. This lasted until the show's last episode.
