  1. CONSEQUENCES FOR POINTS:
    A) POSITIVE CONSEQUENCES - student is returned Pink, Blue, or White cards depending on his card placement prior to receiving Yellow Status.
  2. NEUTRAL CONSEQUENCES:
    a. Time out
    1) Following confrontations.
    2) Cool-down measure

    b.  Counselor
    1) Recognition of events of the incident.
    2) Determination of alternatives.
    3) Contingency Contracting

The Contingency Contracting may have some or all of the following:
1.  Inappropriate problem solving identified.
2.  Alternatives identified.
3.  Consequences identified.
4.  Agreement reached and contract written


    c.  Assignment of Counseling Sessions
    1) As often as deemed appropriate.
    2) To be determined by principal, his designee, and/or counselor.

    d.  Self-Evaluation of behavior on daily, weekly basis, etc.
    e.  Assignment to a particular staff member.
    f.  Assignment to an independent student arrangement.

  1. NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES:   
       a. Supervised Breakfast
        1)  Criteria
        a. earned less than 10 points the previous afternoon.
        b. assignment by principal or designee.
        c. yellow care status
        2) Students will be escorted directly from the bus to supervised area.
        3) After breakfast student will be escorted to designated area by security or staff member.

        b.  Restrictive Lunch
        1) Criteria
        a. cancellation of free time during lunch.
        b. less than 10 points in the A.M. classes.
        2) Students will be escorted to and from restricted lunch by teacher/or teacher aide.
        3) Student will remain in the restricted lunch room until dismissed.

        c. Supervised Meals
        1) Criteria
        a. If a student refused to enter or walks our of restricted lunch they will receive 3 days restricted lunch.
        b. Student is disruptive the previous day- one additional day of restricted lunch.
        c. Assigned by principal or designee.
        d. Supervised by designated staff member.  Students will be escorted to and from supervised lunch by teacher or teacher aide.
        e. Located apart from other students.

        d. Parents must be notified
       
    1) When student is arrested.
        2) When student leaves campus with permission.
        3) When student receives a bus report.
        4) As deemed appropriate by principal or designee.

        e.  Time Out
      
    1) Principal or designee may assign time-out.
        2) Student will be separated from other students.
        3) No outside activity provided.
        4) No access to computer lab.
        5) Short period of time - 15 minutes maximum after calming down.
        6) Supervision at all times.
        7) Documented in the Time-Out/Isolation folder.

       f. Isolation
       
    1) Principal or designee may assign isolation.
        2) Behaviors which may lead to isolation:
        a. Physical aggression.
        b. Repeated inappropriate behavior after correction.
        c. Other behavior deemed serious enough or warrant such actions - principal's discretion.
        3) Student in Isolation will be supervised at all times by a staff member.
        4) Documentation of events leading to the isolation will be made in the Principal's 
            discipline record (Referral Form).
        5) School work will be given to students in isolation provided they are demonstrating 
            appropriate behavior.
        6) Isolation will be held in a designated place.  The door will remain unlocked.
        7) Students with morning isolation will eat lunch in isolation.  Students with afternoon 
            isolation will escorted to the bus at the end of the school day.
        8) Criteria to leave isolation:
        a.  Compliance with isolation guidelines.
        b.  Tell designated staff member he/she is ready to return to class.
        c.  Verbalize reason for placement in isolation.
        d.  Identify alternative behaviors for future situations.

  2. Time Out/Isolation Room Regulations:  A student placed in the time-out/isolation room must be logged in the folder located in the office.  The teacher or aide must provide the supervision.

  3. Extended Classroom Services (ECS)
    1)  Students who have committed offenses, but not limited to physical aggression or leaving campus, etc., shall be assigned ECS.
    2)  Students will be directly supervised by a staff member at all times. Placement will be at the discretion of the principal or his designee.
    3)  Counseling services will be provided as needed.
    4) Teachers will be responsible in getting assignments, with modifications, to the ECS staff member on a daily basis.
    5) Minimum length of stay is one day.
    6) If a student earns and "X" while in ECS for any day, he/she will have to serve an additional day in ECS for each "X" earned.
    7) When a student has earned three days of supervised breakfast or restricted lunch it will entitle him/her to a day of ECS.  The student may earn ECS as a negative consequence after every third incident.
    8) The student's behavior care will be colored yellow (downward) for each day he/she is assigned to ECS.
