There is a new CD single promo that has appeared on Ebay: a "She's Not Just a Pretty Face!" CD single for the UK market. In Germany the new single will be "UP!" instead
.

It Only Hurts When Im Breathing is
currently playing on CMT. The video is the performance from the Live In Chicago DVD.

Shania Twain earned a nomination for the Juno fan choice award on Wednesday (Feb. 11). The Junos are Canada's equivalent to a Grammy. Twain wll be competing against Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, Sarah
McLachlan and Nickelback. Twain also earned a nomination for country recording of the year for her album Up! Others in that category include Terri Clark, Doc Walker, Brad Johner and Aaron Lines. The awards ceremony will be held April 4 in Edmonton, Alberta.
From CMT.com

Shania performed in Sheffield England on the 13th, and according to Sheffield Today : Shania Twain has probably never heard of the late Tommy Cooper but their effect on a Sheffield audience bear a striking resemblance. Old-timers will regale you with tales of how the comedian would stand behind the curtain at the Fiesta, with just his shoes slightly peeping out under the curtain. He didn't really have to do much after that; he had them eating out of his hand. Fast forward to 2004 and the Hallam FM Arena. Twain's opening gambit is to appear behind a giant curtain and utter the line: "Are you ready, Sheffield?" The sell-out crowd were, the atmosphere utterly and overwhelmingly electric, the diehards in the front rows up on their feet already. Feel Like a Woman was for starters and she didn't disappoint her adoring fans. The session, complete with her slick band, including the fiddlers three, ended after two hours with fireworks and streamers, and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it. She's back on March 8 at the Arena. Well worth the experience.

Twain's world - the biggest selling female artist of all time!

She's the most successful female artist of all time, but who exactly is Shania Twain? In advance of her Belfast shows, Paul McNamee finds out.
13 February 2004
The Shania entourage rolls in to Belfast next week for two headlining concerts.
But if you haven't got a ticket yet - tough. The clamour to catch the 38-year-old Queen of Country Pop saw 16,000 seats vanish in a heartbeat many moons ago.Shania doesn't tour very often and when she does, her devoted legions vote with their feet. And she has many fans.In fact, she's the biggest selling female artist of all time, thanks to Come On Over, her 1999 album that shifted a mind-boggling 35m copies.Latest album Up hasn't got close to those figures but it's been released in three versions - pop mix, country mix and world music - and has still moved comfortably into seven figures.Shania is now one of a small band of stars - like Britney, Beyonc and Kylie - whose fame has made a surname obsolete.Quite what makes her so sought after is difficult to nail. Justin Timberlake said she was one "hot little number", but this is misleading.Shania certainly isn't selling sex - even when she is parading around in skin- tight leopard-skin prints, as she does in the video for That Don't Impress Me Much, you get the impression the good old country girl would demur at the suggestion of a roll in the hay."Twain exudes the kind of relentlessly cheery verve that makes college cheerleaders in ridiculously short skirts somehow appear wholesome," said the San Francisco Chronicle."In Twain's case, this has the advantage of rendering her wholly non-threatening to her many female fans because she isn't competing with them for their men."Part of it must be down to Shania's husband and producer, Robert John 'Mutt' Lange. He's the uber-producer who previously worked his magic on AC/DC and Def Leppard. He's a reclusive figure, preferring to remain at the couple's 46-room Chateau De Sully in Switzerland rather than do the celebrity thing. His influence on Shania seems to stretch beyond music too. It was he who introduced her to Sant Mat, a cult that bans meat, booze and, for an initial period, sex. It's rumoured Lange put a ban on sex for a year to bring Shania to her spiritual senses. There's another key part to her make-up - an absolute drive to succeed. At 22, she became mother and father to her orphaned siblings, working herself to the bone in a chorus-line in the Mushkoka resort in Canada, before going home and feeding them mustard sandwiches because that was all they could afford."She was being driven by her own incredible ambition to be a star," said her unofficial biographer Robin Eggar.
"Most of the other girls there danced better and knew more, but Shania made it and they didn't."
The Madonna of country, then - a global success brought about through sheer force of will?
Whatever you think, it seems pretty certain that, just like Madonna, Shania will remain in the limelight just as long as she chooses.
- Shania Twain plays the Odyssey Arena on February 19 and 20. Both shows are sold out.
