The Apartment Our apartment is situated in a quiet residential area in the upper part of the town. Local shops and cafes can be found a few steps from the front door while the town centre is only a 10 minute walk away. Regular local bus connections into the town centre are also available. There is plenty of carparking immediately outside the apartment building, and you have the use of a basement car park space. The apartment is situated on the top (third) floor of the low-rise building (an elevator is available) and has unobstructed views across the town, the unspoiled countryside and the Atlantic coastline beyond. On clear days Cabo da Roca, the most Westerly point in Europe, and the ancient castle of Sintra, near Lisbon, can be clearly seen. Accomodation is modern, generously proportioned, fully equipped and finished to a high standard of luxury. The living room has a marble floor and leads through patio doors to a small balcony -- perfect for enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. Luxury leather sofas are complemented by fine wooden furnishings and a real wood glass-enclosed fireplace. A wide-screen television, DVD player, and satellite TV (with English language, music, and childrens channels) are also provided. There are three bedrooms, two with king size beds and one with four full-size beds: two bunks and a standard single with a further single bed which rolls out from underneath. Each bedroom is fitted with wardrobes and the master bedroom is ensuite to a bathroom. The family bathroom includes a water-jet massage bath. Blackout blinds are present throughout the appartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances: washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. The table seats eight and there is a stereo system and a small television. There is gas central heating throughout the apartment. For young children, a cot (of the folding travel cot variety - see photo) is available, as is a "high chair" (the type which straps to an ordinary chair). Linen, towels and end-of-stay cleaning are included in the price. |
