On - Ride Scan Page
From here on in, you will find many many on - ride scans of fellow Coaster Headz and myself enjoying our favorite past time. The following pics are at screen resolution*, so you shouldn't have any problems with the images taking too long to load.  I have also written a brief ride impression.
Screen Resolution - 72 DPI (Dots Per Inch.) Allows for free websites, such as geocities, to have its users put up a ton of images without heafty downloads, and maxing out the bandwidth.
All pictures (with a few exceptions) were taken by the on - ride automatic camera installed in key locations on various rides.  It would give the rider a chance to see their facial  expression as they travel through the rollercoasters track.  The cameras used are high resolution,  high - speed digital cameras that (I think) records the whole train as it zooms by.  Using mathematics, software then automatically chops up the images by car arrangement.

          When
Medusa opened back in '99,  Great Adventures had 2 cameras placed on  the left and right side of the train. This allowed a much larger print of the riders who sat on either side of the train.  Check out my Medusa review for more details.

It is very typical to find on - ride photos on non - rollercoaster attractions such as a Log Flume or Water Rapids.  On - ride photo kiosks are usually placed near the exit ramp. The pictures usually cost anywhere from as little as $10 to as expensive as $20 and are sometimes availible in different photo packages including diferent print sizes and even key chains.

I like to buy on - ride photos for my maiden voyage on a new coaster regardless of how the picture turned out.  Some on - ride photos that I have purchased came out really bad (it ain't easy being dark skin lol,) while some come out great.  I will suggest to anyone who is dark skin and is interested in buying an onride photo to be sure that: 1. Its the day time, 2. The weather is nice and clear (no overcast or clouds,) and 3.To sit either in the front of the train, or in the back.

Let me clarify a bit.  It is by default that dark skin people should never take pictures they want to keep when its night time.  We all know that, so I don't even know why I put that entry in there.  From my experience, on - ride photos taken while its cloudy comes out reall crappy for dark skinned people.  And if you want to buy your photo, stay far away from the middle of the coaster.  But if you are a 'Coaster fanatic, you dont sit near the middle anyways.
I suppose we should begin with my most recent expedition to Paramount Kings Island ---->   ---->   ---->   ---->
