Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventures is my second favorite rollercoaster of all time.  It is a close second to Medusa.  Why isn't Nitro more fun than Medusa?  Well, firstly, there isn't any track over track elements, there isn't any interactions with the queue, as a matter of fact, Nitro goes up and way out to the furthest part of the park and returns.  Can steel coasters also be considered Terrain coasters?  Hmm.  that's a good q.  If so, then Nitro is one helluva terrain steel twister  coaster

Nitro has 7 perfectly times camel humps where the riders feel ample air time.  I mean, your butt really leaves the seat!! I think that Nitro has the most comfortable seats ever constructed on a rollercoaster.  Open Air seating is always a plus.  Not only that, Nitro has bucket seats, whereby no matter how tall the rider is, his/her feet (when relaxed) wont touch the floor.  Superb!!

I remember riding Nitro during Six Flags' opening weekend when the ride launched. The first drop seemed to go on forever!! and, not to mention the hill after the first drop.  Never, and I mean never, have I felt such a free-falling sensation on a rollercoaster.  Like, the hill twists left as it decends, and your body is literally thrown out of the seat.  And then, after the MCBR, there are three camel humps where you once again feel you are thrown out of your seat.

Nitro is definatelly the kind of ride that is enjoyable from any seat.  I prefer the front row, where you can really feel you are going 80+MPH.  The back row has the best nevagive G feeling (naturally). This is one helluva
Mega Coaster.
Steel Twister - A rollercoaster track type that allows steep twists, and over banked turns.  Steel Twisters commonly have 8 rows of 4 seats, allowing for families to sit together as well as shorter queues.
for some odd reason, six flags removed these signs.  you may click to enlarge pics.
