Son of Beast: Paramount Kings Island
This has got to be the worst on - ride photo ever.  This rollercoaster is nothing short of revolutionary.  It is the tallest woodie, the fastest woodie, and the only woodie that has a vertical loop.  Why oh why did the developers place the cameras for the on - ride photo right before the chainlift?  There are so many opportunities for the photo - op like the bottom of the first drop, or at the base of the two donut shaped helixes, or right before or after the vertical loop.  Nope they didn't chose any of those locations. Those key pieces of real estate was placed on the back burner because right before the chain lift is such a great spot!!

The camera is placed before the friken chain lift where the train is going about 6 MPH.  On this ride, your on ride photo will be taken way before your ride starts!!

Son of Beast, by the accounts of the rollercoaster enthusiasts who were at the park the day I went, is said to be the best
woodie erected. And yes, it has intense speed, kick ass elements, the loop, the really intense helixes.  It has all of that.  But what the 'coaster enthusiasts didn't tell me was that Son of Beast is a great ride - - if you stand less than 6' tall.

           Let me explain.

The one thing I hate more than a rough coaster is uncomfortable seats.  If I have to cross my legs to get into the seat, I already know I wont have a good time.

The seating situation in Son of Beast was horrible (for tall people.)  Not only did i have to cross my legs, my knees were directly under this metal bar that they installed for holding onto.

OUCH!!

I seriously think, if the seating arrangement was a bit different (I know thay had to make it tight to omit horse collars), Son of Beast could have been my favorite woodie.
Woodie Erected hmm everyone knows which is the best woodie erected.
