| BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. Psalms1:1-3 Amplified Bible |
| "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:11-13 (New American Standard Bible) |
| The mindset on the flesh is death, the mindset on the Spirit is life and peace. Change your FOCUS and live in abundance! |

| Every word you give me is a miracle word how could I help but obey? Break open your words, let the light shine out, let ordinary people see the meaning. Mouth open and panting, I wanted your commands more than anything. Turn my way, look kindly on me, as you always do to those who personally love you. Steady my steps with your Word of promise so nothing malign gets the better of me. Rescue me from the grip of bad men and women so I can live life your way. Smile on me, your servant; teach me the right way to live. I cry rivers of tears because nobody's living by your book!
Psalm 119:128-130 (The Message Bible) |
| "Whenever this happens, my heart stops I'm stunned, I can't catch my breath. Listen to it! Listen to his thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of his voice. He lets loose his lightnings from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole. In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, powerful and majestic. He lets out all the stops, he holds nothing back. No one can mistake that voice His word thundering so wondrously, his mighty acts staggering our understanding. He orders the snow, 'Blanket the earth!' and the rain, 'Soak the whole countryside!' No one can escape the weatherit's there. And no one can escape from God. Wild animals take shelter, crawling into their dens, When blizzards roar out of the north and freezing rain crusts the land. It's God's breath that forms the ice, it's God's breath that turns lakes and rivers solid. And yes, it's God who fills clouds with rainwater and hurls lightning from them every which way. He puts them through their pacesfirst this way, then that commands them to do what he says all over the world. Whether for discipline or grace or extravagant love, he makes sure they make their mark.

| Hi, I'm Dorothy or revdlj on line. I started doing meditations a couple of years ago. They came out of a very difficult stretch of my life. I needed something to help me center in and focus. I started walking and concentrating on the cross. Every night I would choose a scripture and meditate on it as I walked. When I returned home I would write down what the Lord had revealed to me as I had walked. When I first started doing this I had people ask me what kinds of things did I hear, so I started sending out what the Lord was giving me. Through these walks and now just times of sitting before Him I have learned many things. The Lord speaks to all of us differently, but I think the most amazing thing is that He speaks to all of us if we will but listen. It is His heart to hear His children. He says that they will know His voice, just as the sheep know the voice of their Shepherd. How God speaks to you is a very intimate thing. Maybe you hear Him by an audible voice, a whispering in your heart or in the voice of others, by reading His word, by praying, by having others pray for you, by coincidences in your life, visions or dreams; however He comes to you and you know it to be Him...treasure those words and moments with Him. He speaks to us to assure us that He is a part of our lives and He loves us. Beyond that is there anything more important in life...I think not. And when we learn to hear Him, His thoughts begin to permeate ours until He begins to show through us. Vessels fit for service, that is what He wants, in and of ourselves we will never be fit for service, but He tells us we have His righteousness in us through Jesus Christ. By virtue of Him we are ready to be used. I pray that as you read the things that He has spoken to my heart you will find Him speaking to yours as well. Be blessed of the Lord my friend. It is my joy to share what He has shown me. - Dorothy |
