| "How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying" 1 Cor. 14:26 (King James) |

| Prophesy is a spontaneous manifestation of God's grace, received by revelation, (sometimes as a vision, at other times as impressions or thoughts) and spoken by the Spirit through a Christian who has been given a gift of prophecy, in the language of those who hear the prophetic word spoken."[10]
The Christian prophet is a "spokesman for God," much as Aaron was for Moses before Pharaoh (Ex 4:15-17; 7:1), one who speaks what he hears by revelation rather than from his own mind. |
| I had a vision of a desert...a very parched desert, with extremely dry ground that almost appeared to be cracking. People were wandering around everywhere. Some were saying why am I here? Why has the Lord brought us to this place to have us perish?
Suddenly a huge split began to open in the ground, like an earthquake. As it grew in size and depth people began to fall into it from the sides. The cries of the people were intense, their questioning deafening, fear began to overtake the crowds and everyone began to run. But almost as suddenly as it came the people of God began throwing themselves across the crevice....with their hands on one side and their feet on the other. They formed what looked like a railroad track across the desert, a track of outstretched humans spanning the gap. God called these people who threw themselves out saints. That is how I knew they were His people. Then I began to see people coming from all over the place and they were literally walking on the backs of the saints to safety. At the far end of this human pathway was a great Light and they were walking towards Him. The Spirit spoke to my heart at this point and told me that many of us had been in such desolate places for so long that we were the ones standing on the dry, parched ground. Many were asking why in the world did God bring us out to this place to desert us. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for this continuing place of desolation and danger. It is the cry of the church, How have we gotten to this place...is the Lord moving any more at all? The Lord said Do not fear! He is raising up an army of survivalists that can walk in any situation and still hold their faith. They will not be daunted even though the circumstances be deceiving. When the crevice first opened many were lost. But the cries went up and the Spirit showed the saints how they were to span the gap in this crisis. He had taught them how to survive in the worst of times. He told them how to lay down their lives that others might live. It was no simple thing God was requiring of them, but by this one simple act of obedience, at the right time; the crevice was spanned and people were saved. Their sacrifice of intercession brought new life and hope in the midst of crisis.. Just like in Katrina, the saints stepped up to the plate. God said this next time when the crevice opens no one will be able to deny that the saints were spanning the gap for everyone or many would have been lost. And the human railroad affect would be traveled by trainloads of people all on the backs of the saints. The harvest is coming. And it is coming to those who have survived in the wilderness and this time the net will hold. The glory of the Lord will be made known in His people! We have not just survived, but He has taught us to OVERCOME IN THE MIDST OF THE DESERT AND BEYOND OUR OWN UNDERSTANDING! -revdlj as revealed by the Holy Spirit |

| "As you approach the town, you'll run into a bunch of prophets coming down from the shrine, playing harps and tambourines, flutes and drums. And they'll be prophesying. Before you know it, the Spirit of God will come on you and you'll be prophesying right along with them. And you'll be transformed. You'll be a new person!" I Samuel 10:5-6 (The Message Bible) Some churches today might call this a harp and bowl service. |
