| "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3 |

| Well I guess I am going to start this off with my testimony and I hope that many more will follow. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of the Father and that He died and shed His blood for the remission of my sin. I have been a Christian since I was 14, without Jesus there is no life. From the moment I met Him, He was the focal point of my life. Everything just sort of revolves around Him. I think that the thing that has given me the most comfort through the years is something I learned in the Southern Baptist Church where I was saved and that is called the Security of the Believer. It has kept me through many a trial in my life. Sometimes I have thought that my salvation was contingent upon my works. It has nothing to do with my works...but it has everything to do with the work Christ did for us on the cross. I am secure in the fact that He is my Saviour and nothing can ever pluck me out of His hand. Nothing or no one has any authority over Him and if He says I am His, I am His forever. End of discussion for me. That is called the security of the believer...that calm assurance that no matter what, I am saved! I have also found it very true that we overcome by the word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb. When I found Jesus no one was safe around me any more. Inside of me is this Presence that wants me to share with all I meet that Jesus is alive and well in me. And anyone can have this JOY in them simply by asking. If you want to know how....read the plan of salvation page and pray to receive Him into your heart. That is my testimony...apart from the Lord there is no life. That is probably why the scriptpure says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life! He has been for me. Dorothy (revdlj) |
