Bay of Blood~****1/2
An excellent slasher that obviously inspired many of the deaths throughout the Friday the 13th series. Mario Bava directs a fine mystery about a killer who is killing off the reidents of a small bay. Great twist ending and excellent murder scenes throughout. Highly recommended!

Beyond, The~****
Not the greatest of Lucio Fulci's work but still a gore classic as it contains great directing and gut wrenching (although sometimes humorous) gore by the master of Italian violence. A woman (Catherine Macoll)  inherits a Motel that also contains the passage to Hell and soon Zombies are killing off the supporting cast as Macoll and the local doctor investigate what is happening. Recommended to all gore hounds!

Blade Runner~***1/2
FX filled thriller set in the gloomy and gritty future in which cop Harrison Ford must hunt down a group of Replicants who are intent on destroying the man who created them.

Blair Witch Project~*****
Great and original movie worth every bit of hype. Three film students doing a documentary on the Blair Witch legend find themselves lost in the woods with someone or something getting closer each night.

Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows~***1/2
Excellent sequel to the 1999 phenomenon..yet disappointing at the same time. For true fans of the original, hoping to see an advancement in the mythology, you will be disappointed as director Joe Berlinger instead chooses to make a statement on the media's effect on society..nonetheless it is a very entertaining film with a great cast with standouts being Jeffrey Donovan (Sleepers) and Tristen Skyler. Forget your apprehensions and give it a shot.

Bone Yard~***
A group of people (including an over weight psychic) are trapped in a mortuary with a trio of zombie children running around after them. The fx done with the zombies are excellent, they closely resemble the demons of Demon Knight. It gets a little silly towards the end with a giant poodle monster.
