Transport system
Panagyurishte has well maintained road network, which connects it with the capital – Sofia, District city of
Pazardjik and city of Plovdiv. It is possible to
reach Sofia on a panoramic mountain road at length of 96 km via village of Poibrene and Belitsa, which continues
on Trakia Motorway
near town of Vakarel. One, who prefers Trakia
Motorway, can join to it through the road to Pazardjik near
by village of Gelemenovo at 34 km away from
Panagyurishte. One, who loves historical routes are able to
travel to Sofia on a road at length of 105 km, with the stream of
Topolnitsa river – from Poibrene, via village of Petrich and Bailovo
to Gorna Malina, where the road joins to UnderBalkan road. Crossing Panagyurski kolonii you may reach towns
of Pirdop and Zlatitsa and through Zlatitsa Passage you may reach North
Bulgaria. Traveling through town Strelcha one may arrive in
Koprivshtitsa, Hisar or Karlovo. In order to reach
Plovdiv you may go through Streltcha on a road at length of 96 km, or on Trakia Motorway after the joint entrance near by village of Gelemenovo.

Railway transport
A railway line connects
Panagyurishte with Plovdiv and thereafter with the rest part of the national
railway network. Unfortunately, since December 1, 2002 this railway line was
closed, due to its ineffective utilization.
