Salsa &
Guacamole
INGREDIENTS
2 Med.
Tomatoes
1 Med. Onion
1-2 Minced Serrano or Jalapeño Chiles 2 Tbs Chopped
Cilantro
1 Avacado (for Guacamole Only)
¼ Tsp Salt
(NOTE: There are two different ways to make the sauce, chunky
and smooth. The ingredients are the same except that the smooth method uses the
blender or food processor instead of chopping the vegetables.)
Finely chop onion, tomato and cilantro. Mince chiles. For
less spicy flavor, seeds and veins can be removed. Mix in bowl with salt.
GUACAMOLE
Dice avocado for chunky style or mash with fork
for smooth style Mix with sauce.
GREEN SAUCE (Salsa Verde)
Follow above blender salsa recipe
replacing tomatoes with 2-3 times as many tomatillos (tomatillos are smaller
and have to be husked) that have been boiled until color changes.
