The beaches of Italy were so incredible. The water in the ocean was actually warm enough to endure swimming in! It was warmer than in Los Angeles. We actually stayed here for the weekend and camped in the campground just off of the beach. It was quite tight in the camping lots, but it was pretty much like camping at home. Well, besides there being a great beach right there. The sun here was nasty. It roasted the backs of my knees and it really hurt. Either way, this town was fun!

We did not go here. This is Venice, the capitol city of Italy. It was a three hour drive from where we were camping in Lignano. We had the chance to go, but we would perhaps have lost our way on the way back to Germany. Who knows? All I know is that I regret passing the opportunity of going to the canal capitol of the world. Maybe someday I will go.

Once again, we have another beautiful picture of the beaches in Lignano. This beach spanned for miles all around the bays in the area. If you ask me, I can show you some genuine Italian sand right from this beach. I have kept it in a juice bottle from Germany. It sits in our china cabinet along with all the Coke cans we collected while in Europe. I tell you, this beach was so refreshing from all the travelling. Just lie in the sun and relax with no worry in the world.
