We noticed this tower from a distance while discovering the countryside in our rental car. As we drew nearer, we noticed that it was home of a children's summer camp. Nobody was allowed into the tower itself, but tents from the camp were set up all around the vicinity. We drove right up to the place and asked around about the tower. Nobody really knew much about it, but we were invited for some Cokes in the bunker underneath it that served as a main building or headquarters for the camp. That Coke was good.

Ah...the countryside. This beautiful landscape can lose you in an instant. It houses many farms, fields, and ancient towers such as the one shown higher up on this page. There were never really any real mountains to be found in all of Germany until we got to the southern borders. Other than that, there are only rolling hills.

This house was spotted by myself as my mother and I drove towards an old tower in a small village. Notice the clay roofing and designs built into the sides of the house. This house looks to be really well kept, but is most likely very old. The average village in Germany could be from 10-1000 years old. As you could imagine, these towns have a lot of history.
