Berlin title

Germany

Berlin...the capital city of Germany that was divided by the Berlin Wall in the Cold War. Today, the city is not divided, but is a thriving, safe place...well as safe as cities get.

Well, you actually took interest in this page? Hope you like it. One thing that I noticed to be dominant in this city was the graffiti. It was everywhere, but especially in the areas where the Wall used to stand.

Victory Tower

The Victory Tower. This was an amazing sight for me. Bullet holes could still be seen on one side from a mingle with Germans decades ago. The tower was open to the public and we decided to climb it. There was a long spiral staircase to the top, but the long climb was indeed worth any work. We could see the whole city from up there. The picture below this one was taken from on the tower.

Berlin City Skyline

Above you see the skyline of Berlin. As you can see in the fore-ground, there is a massive forest. This forest surrounds the Victory Tower from where I stood while taking the picture. The silverish dome in the center of the picture is a brand new multi-billion dollar shopping center. It was built only a few years ago and is now the center of city business. We went there during the day and looked around. We then went to McDonald's for lunch. I like McDonald's in Germany...their Big Macs are made with real bread! Not to mention real meat!

This is the Germany "Reichstag." It is the old parliament building of Germany where Hitler once dwelt while he was in power. The government now operates across the way to a brand new parliament building. We took a little tour inside this one and climbed all the way to the top and inside the dome on the top-right corner of the picture. It had another great view of the city.
