Artifact # 4 |
The
Telefolio can serve as an artifact to demonstrate ability and skill.
The telefolio and artifacts contained in it were completed in a number of classes, however the majority of the work was done in the Spring 2002 semester in the following classes: CI 3100 Teaching HIgh School Social Science, RE 4630 Reading in the Content Areas, and CI 3850 Literacy, Technology and Instruction. The telefolio is a graduation requirement of the Reich College of Education. The purpose of this telefolio is not only to serve as a collection of my work, but as an active electronic "storage" that can be added to as time and experience build. Since the telefolio is available on the internet it can be used to share information with other teachers and prospective employers. The telefolio itself
has provided me with various technology skills and demonstrates the diversity
of these skills and technology in general (IA,
IB,
IIB,
VA, VIC).
I used a variety of programs to compile the telefolio, such as, but not
limited to: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Photoshop, Netscape
Composer, Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, and Google Image Search.
I have demonstrated introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of
concepts related to technology in the creation of this telefolio and because
it is a working document I must be abreast of current changes in technology.
I created this telefolio by applying current research on teaching and learning
in relation to technology when planning learning environments for students.
It is not only evident through the technology that I use, but the content
as well, that the diversity of both technology and content are present.
By creating this telefolio and the general
maintence of updating a website, I am using technology and the resources available
to me to engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
