July 29, 2000...We went to Hershey Park for Dave's company picnic, That park's too darn crowded! Rather than wait in the long lines for the rides, we did the simulated tour of the chocolate factory. Interesting, sorta....Here's a few pics.
July 26, 2000...I wanna go to OLEY, I wanna go to Oley!!....(*pouting*)...We have another important prior committment, but next year?... WE'RE GOIN'!!... right hun??
July 25, 2000...Okay, Hawaii which is more than 2500 miles away-- has a six hour time difference, so-o-o- if you booked a 7 hour flight leaving at 1PM, you can arrive at 2PM, isn't that cool?? hehe...oh well just was dreamin'....not like I'll ever be seeing those white, sunny beaches, and those inviting waves, and all that Hawaiian hospitality.....: (

July 23, 2000.. that long ride northwest was BEAUTIFUL! What a lovely area...near Little Pine State Park...and then today a nice ride to Hickory Run State Park. Simple Pleasures....here's pics of Hawk Falls and pics of yesterday's run to Lycoming County.

Saturday's always lovely to sleep in, mmmm-mm love those morning dreams....oh no! Gotta wake up!! hehe, oh well sun's shining, looks like a lovely day ahead, wake up!! WAKE UP!...hehe..how bout a long ride west?? at least to Lockhaven /Waterville area, yup sounds like a plan ....
July 21, 2000...Fighting with my pc again,and it's so darn hard to argue when the darn thing can't argue back!! hehe, gee no communication, am I talking the wrong language?? I just can't seem to get it right, so much I need to learn about putering....darn!
How can antiperspirant/deodorant cause such a commotion? or should I say "commode-tion"...hehe??...when somebody 'accidentally' flushes it down the toilet and it gets stuck there! YUK! Lucky for me Dave's also Mister Plumber, too, hehe....: )
July 20, 2000...Happy Birthday to JoeBear, I think? or is it tomorrow?..ya know there are quite a few July b-days I get mixed up on the exact days so, happy d-bay to all the July celebrants, hehe, Megan, Joe & Dolores, Bradley, did I miss anyone???

July 19, 2000...Anybody that knows me well knows I believe strongly in donating blood, just a small thing most anyone can to do help another or even many--well tonight I gave blood and got to thinking, right at this very moment, my body is making a new pint of blood for me, instead of that same old, stale stuff re-circulating, I'm making new stuff! WooHoo! Sorta like an oil change, don't ya think? ..not just addin' another quart!...hehe....."Give Blood!!" It makes some-Body feel good and it makes YOUR body feel good!! (just drink lotsa fluids! and tell'em HuggerDi sent ya! lol)
July 18, 2000....I KNEW IT! I just knew it! I thought it was just me or being a motorcycle rider that made me notice such things, but gee when it makes the front page of the newspaper! Did anyone else notice an abundance of Roadkill lately???..I can't believe they actually did a news story about it!!..hehe..
July 18, 2000...How can you be happy as a sunny puddle and then see a sad reflection; a muddy puddle, and feel conflicted at the same time?--happy/sad/happy/glad....Now, I'm not manic-depressive, (oops they call that bi-polar now-a-days), I just feel emotions deeply and ponder EVERYTHING until it's thought to pieces! How often have I been accused of "thinking" too much???.....can't help it--it's just me...*sigh*
July 17, 2000..I repeat! I wonder what hurts more getting your wisdom teeth surgically removed, or seeing the bill!! OUCH!!!
..oh well a welcome reprieve to re-joining the rat race a day sooner....now let me see, what have I done during vacation......thinking, reminiscing, pondering, what have I learned?...

"Cluckers" in Mt Carmel sure is a pretty ice cream/eating place...a tribute to veterans and pow's memorbilia hanging on the wall, and such pretty patriotic colors...Go for a visit! We haven't tried the food yet but the ice cream!! YUM! and so many flavors, the guy behind the counter was real friendly too, he told us to bring back 100 bikers and tell'em it's "Bike Week" in Mt Carmel, hehe, he really did!!
July 15, 2000...Gee MickeyD's is gonna have Mighty McWings!!...I'm McMazed! Next they just McMight have Mcbeer..hehe...Mc-michelob, huh?...I prefer McCoors Light..hehe..ya know it just doesn't seem to go together, McDonald's and Hot wings...Wonder if McD's a Biker Friendly pit stop?...
...okay I guess it's a regional thing, in New England McD's has "lobster rolls" and in Minnesota they have some sort of "grits" type thing, so I guess the Northeast is the hot wing region.

July 14, 2000...How does an uneventful, peaceful ride to pick up my bike after servicing (all new gaskets--WooHoo!) and then to Reading, Pa turn into quite an event????..Click here!

July 12, 2000...Well I did my first almost 200mile solo run today, up the Poconos, a few stops, nice, easy riding, a relaxing, peaceful day..warm thoughts, happy memories relived...What a pleasant day...
July 11, 2000...My honey works real hard all day, comes home to me all tired out! Just an hour ago I took this pic of him lookin' all tired & beat, but happy to be home and happy he decided to pick up Coors Light on the way..hehe...(I love this camera!)...I was considering a photo of the day in addition to thoughts for the day, but--JUST KIDDING!!...Doesn't everybody hate when ya go to visit someone and they get the 10 photo albums out???!!!..at least on the web ya have a choice, just say NO, minimize, or exit! hehe....

Gee vacation time from work sure is fun, even if ya don't actually go someplace, just having time off and spending some it with the ones you love sure makes a happy gal! : ) the end is nearing though... : (
July 10, 2000...I got a new toy!!..WOOHOO! Got my Digital Camera..it is Soooo-ooo-o Cool! This is me RIGHT NOW! Just this very second,(well 3 minutes ago or so...) No more waiting for a roll of film to be used, the film to be developed, and wondering if they'll goof'em up!! I'm a happy gal!! : )Here's another.

Well I'm going further and further on this bike, finally drove outta state, to Delaware at least!(and kept my helmet ON!...) Woohoo! Mikes Famous HD Dealership & Museum is pretty cool, not everything was as we hoped, the restaurant, somewhat disappointing but maybe it's just those high expectations again, ya know? but a great road trip nonetheless...I'm workin up to that true iron butt! hehe
July 7, 2000...Gee some vacation so far, I schedule Dr. appts, dentist appts, car repair appts, go on a mission looking for bedroom furniture (EGADS!) and now I think I may have strep throat...oh well, it could be worse, I could have NO vacation at all...*sigh*...
Well, if I can sneak away, I'm gonna head east to the ocean or west to the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame...Here's hopin' (hopin'/hoppin---hip hop!..hehe)I pull it off, or gee maybe some surprise is in store I haven't even planned on, ya never know... : )
July 6, 2000...In Tuesday July 4th edition of the Standard Speaker, concerning a homemade firework injury at a local cabana bar, the reporter is quoted as saying, "..the crowd included people who had participated earlier in a motorcycle rally." Now am I missing something or what??? What does that have to do with anything? Was it the BIG BAD BIKERS fault?...gee, this guy gets suposedly drunk, makes a homemade firework and gets hurt setting it off, now what does that have to do with the other patrons at the place, who just happened to be bikers?..duh!...I'm sympathetic this guy got hurt but the writer didn't need to include that bit of media hype, oh well...such is media, keep that in mind when you're reading news articles, hearing news reports, etc. I have been interviewed and totally misquoted, or misrepresented....yellow journalism! ba -humbug!
July 5, 2000...a sad rememberance day for the family, Mam passed away one year ago, it's hard to believe a whole year has passed...I look back at my thoughts from a year ago and I feel like it was just yesterday--some things have changed soo-oo much & some things never change.

July 3, 2000...Have you ever thought about how much you miss someone you love when you haven't heard their voice for a few days?..Gosh it's like you start to think you forget how it sounds...my priceless treasures have found their way home, safe, sound, and wiser...and gosh I think they even missed me....: )

July 1, 2000...Wow! What a great way to kick off vacation, July, a beautiful sunny kinda day, whatever!----a 189 mile trip with 33-38 bikes (conflicting counts)...a GREAT ride!!! and now we're off with the four wheels to the party after..Seeya!!!..Here's the pics!
June 30, 2000...Vacation!! Yippee!!...Gee, why am I scrubbing the floors with Pine-sol? I oughta be lying on a sunny, sandy beach, listening to the tide coming in closer and closer,...wshhh-shhhewww--!!, sounds of seagulls,..I love the ocean & the beach... *sigh*....(oh and getting sunburned!) lol...
...A great thing about LOUDER PIPES---the little fast-moving critters hear ya coming, saved a groundhog's life today and maybe even mine, because he looked up, heard me coming and scurried off the road : )

... Since I once got a 300AMP Gas-powered (WooHoo!!) portable welding machine for Mother's Day..I figured the new screamin' Eagle II exhaust pipes,(gr-r-r-eat sounding!!) on my bike could be his b-day present! : � (thanks, Charlie)

June 24, 2000...The sun's rays were absolutely melting today, a beautiful day!! Gosh, I forgot how enjoyable playing in the dirt can be...my poor neglected garden, seems it's not too late just yet though. The sweet peas & green beans will soon be ripe, blueberries are turning slightly blue, the nets are on to keep the little birdies & the little kiddies from snatchin' them...some of the perinnial flowers are showing off their colors, tomatoes, peppers, & cukes, (thanks Mom!) are coming along nicely, all those warm sun rays are soaking in the plants and making them SHINE! : )....here's a pic from Thursday's beautiful sunset taken right from my lawn as the sun set in the west, how lucky to be near such beauty...soon I'll have that digital camera and I can put tonight's sunset on TONIGHT!!..Imagine that??. ..and the pics of the nice ride, me, Paul & Michele, & Choppie had to Shikellamy State Park, near Northumberland...a real nice view atop the mountain overlooking the Susquehanna River. Nice!
June 23, 2000...I'm convinced the "catch-phrase" for everyone where I work is, "Ya gotta do what ya gotta do"...gee how profound, now I'm not making fun or being sarcastic, but it's amazing how often ya hear that, it kinda covers everything, don't ya think?...
...I've been thinking, (ut-oh!)--- I keep telling everyone that my bike riding is my "therapy", well, do ya think I could turn my payments in to my medical insurance as treatment for stress??.. LOL...it sure does the trick! :)
..and one more thing...Do ya think there really was a dog named Boo?..ya know, "me & you and a dog named boo"..how silly, ya think he just needed a rhyming word for that song? almost as silly as, "I been through the desert on a horse with no name..and it's good to be out from the rain" like does the name of the horse really matter, and it's a desert? and it's raining???? sheesh! I dunno!..is it just me again???..am I missing something?? now Yogi's side-kick was BooBoo, that's ok , but a dog named "boo" there are so many cute doggie names....hehe

..and speaking of clocks and waking up in the wee early morning hours....Wouldn't it be nice to have a "sweet, gentle dose of sunshine", in the morning--a gentle nudge, a daily dose of sweetness, "Wake-up~~~~~~!" ...say like 5AM or sooner, rather than that loud obnoxious alarm clock sound??!!...seems the whole day might go alot nicer,...just a thought...and just when I'm floating back into my sweet dreams...."B-R-RRRR-RRINGGGG-G!!!!"

My basement smells like strawberries! ... The laundry smells like strawberries!..Am I going crazy??!! Nope! Been there, Still there, (hehe)...Oops must be all the strawberry picking my kids been doing at B&R farms, gosh never had work clothes that smell sooo-oo good! like strawberry jam...they've been working hard and tis ashame that the season started out soo-o very promising (huge, juicy berries) and then too much rain---shortened the sweet season....: ( soon the fields will be smelling like strawberry wine....*blibble, blibble*..(not quite)
June 21, 2000...Today the first FULL day of summer, gee, I been enjoying it already..summer vacation just around the corner, summer surprises! I LOVE Summer!

June 20, 2000...a beautiful day weatherwise, started out driving to work with a dense fog lifting in the valleys between the hills, I wished I had time to take a photo, then the sun came burning through the fog, beautiful white, fluffy clouds, light blue dreamy sky~~~! how nice..too bad I had to work all day (bummer) Later, after kids appointments and lawn work, household chores, I FINALLY get a short bike ride. Yay!"I JUST LOVE MY SWEETIE!!!"..
...I have to say the warm summer evening air felt so nice, now the scent of honeysuckle replaces the smell of the mulitfloral roses, fresh cut lawns of course, and that unexpected pocket of real cool air along the streams and creeks, gives your adreneline a boost, a waker-upper!...I found out that my bike is not large enough to trigger the "object sensitive" traffic lights to change (is that what they are called??) ..I sat at Redner's for quite awhile waiting for the light to change green until the guy behind me in the car pulled up alongside me and it activated the light change! sheesh!! no respect!! lol...
June 19, 2000...Well 10 more work days until vacation and the place is goin' a little nuts, as it always does. Get the work out!..Get the work out!..hehe..I'm just buzzin' away, daydreaming, making plans, happy thoughts....
Ya know I just don't get it, well I do, but I don't get how some of the people for 48 weeks of the year want an early quit "ALL the time" then this one week that is the last paycheck before vacation, the same people want to work 40 hrs, some even get hostile about it (eeks!) anyway, I can understand they want that fat paycheck right before vacation,but it just doesn't make sense, just save outta the other 48 weeks a little and IMAGINE ya got an early one, this one week isn't gonna make all that much difference! Then next week, (which we get AFTER vacation when you're really broke from not getting a pay for four weeks...) they all wanna leave and start vacation (ME too) but I would think THAT's the paycheck you're really hurting for...I just don't get it, I guess it's just me again...bottom line is "I CAN'T WAIT FOR VACATION!" WOOHOO!!!!

June 17, 2000...Crossroads Harley Davidson near Allentown sure knows how to throw a Grand Opening Party!! What a great place!..and free food & beer, do ya believe that?? We met alot of new people, a few old acquaintances, and many BEAUTIFUL bikes!! I'll put the pics up as soon as I can. A great road trip!
It was especially nice to see Helene & Milroy, to meet Frank's friend, Jeff, a few bikers that know the Ringtown crowd, and a special coincidental chance meeting with Rosanne, the sister of a dear old friend that we both miss very much, that encounter warmed both our hearts!..pausing for a sentimental moment.....
...always keep the memories of those "special" people we meet along the way near & dear to our hearts, recall them often.. I believe that's why some of us are put on this earth...reach out & touch someone's heart today....
June 16, 2000...Is anyone else, besides ME, surprised that Martha Stewart was born & raised in New Jersey??? now don't get me wrong, there are things I like about New Jersey, for instance Bruce Springsteen is from there, Bruce Willis, Pat Dixon, (an inside joke..hehe)... the nickname is pretty nice, "the Garden State", and I do have relatives there but, Martha Stewart??? from "NEW JOISEY"!! How did she get rid of that Joi-sey accent??..and where did she get that poise & pois-enality??? (does anyone else pickup on poison in there??..hehe).... Another thing...Don't ya think Martha resembles the "Mayflower Madame", Sidney Biddle Barrows, or is it Sidney Barrows Biddle?..hmmmm-mm-m...
June 15, 2000..Unexpected Surprises...how nice to share in a friend's happy surprises!..to be a part of the excitement and to anticipate the upcoming changes to occur.... Celebrate! I'm shmilyng knowing that feeling so well!...A Happy Day! (...in spite of more rain)..Kudos to my buddy John on his job promotion! June 13, 2000...All this rain! Gosh, difficult to not get sucked into the gray, dark cloudy weather and the mood and the energy level that follows, but I keep thinking it's not raining everywhere, somewhere the sun's out there shining!..Think I'm gonna fly there!! Sunny puddle here I come!!..Gee weather channel says sunny & 80's for Seattle on Saturday. No fair! that's our weather!--We're having theirs! Go figure!

June 12, 2000...Today we started our "summer hours" at work, earlier starting, earlier quit, once I get used to the time change I love these hours but gee it's hard to adjust--my circadian body clock kept hitting the snooze alarm this morning and I've been dragging ever since....I need more z-z-z-z-zzzzz's....

June 11, 2000...Today we celebrated Pentecost and Justine's Affirmation of Baptism. She is truly blessed with many gifts & talents and filled with the Holy Spirit.
A successful celebration picnic in Justine's honor, Thank you to all who helped make it a joyous occasion. Food, fun, laughs, lots of pictures, swimming, horseshoes, boasting, joking, and lots of LAUGHTER. Is that a good mix or what? Oops, I almost forgot, I even got a teeny bike ride in--Yay!--when Gram locked her keys in the trunk I had to get the extras..thanks Gram!..at least that crisis was resolved easily...
June 10, 2000...Gosh, what a flashback in time, seeing some old high school friends, how wonderful to relive those memories---but then to realize all I have learned and accomplished since then, even though I am told I haven't changed much, I KNOW I have and am very grateful for that! I'm just not ever gettin' old, that's all! Got that?!

The show pits 16 castaways against snakes, heat, and backstabbing teammates."..Gosh! that sounds like where I work!....except for a certain few, you know who you are!....
I have to say Gene did it again! He found my smile for me again, seems this time I really did lose something tangible, my "nippers" (a thread cutting tool--snippers) that I have had for 22 years--(I got at 16 years old for my first factory job, and they've been to six different sewing factories with me)--- They fell in the trash bin which Gene unknowingly threw in the dumpster, well without my asking, Gene climbed in and retrieved them for me! What a nice guy! Thanks Gene! You're one of the good guys...
Who said it is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.? who said that?..if you have the opportunity to taste the sweetest fruit, see the most precious gem, or to smell the most exquisite scent but to never experience it again, and risk being left with only a longing and a desire that may never be fufilled, is it best to never have experienced?...Who knows...are we the better for our experiences or better off not experiencing a few?...Gosh a deep thought....hmmm, with what's going on with Microsoft, I wonder what Bill Gates might answer...poor Bill...

If they want to sell vulcans, don't do it behind a HD name, sorry if I am offending anyone, but don't go there to buy a Harley, you won't get one...
