Dec.31, 1999...Happy New Millenium Everyone!!!..even though the new millenium doesn't actually start until 2001, Y2K come get me!!!!....I have a houseful of teenagers right now and I can handle anything!!!!!
Dec. 31, 1999...Today is Pap's birthday, he would have been 84 today, we have spent many years together with family, celebrating this and the new year celebration, this year he & Mam are no longer with us...They are celebrating, somewhere together. Mam & Pap...God Bless you.
Dec. 30, 1999...(just one more, too much thinking--hehe)..HEY RICH!..I think I found yer DEER!...
Dec. 30, 1999...If I am thinking clear, tonight is the new year in some parts of the world--"the other side & down under"---all we have to do is sit back and see what happens...EEKS!!...Will all the second world countries be Y2K prepared and what about those bombs and missles??!!! Double EEKS!!..and all this terrorist activity...or at least the threat of....not to panic anyone, but....
Dec. 30, 1999...This has to be the coolest & most creative Holiday Greeting I have received: Season's Greetings..(okay that, "Roll over Santa, Here's your present!" email greeting was pretty funny but this is a family page, so....)
Dec, 29, 1999...Kudos to my sister Susan, who as a practicing PA lawyer for two years, has now completed and passed her NJ bar exam. Published in the New Jersey Law Journal, Monday, Dec. 13, 1999 edition. Congratulations Susie! We're proud of you!
Dec. 29, 1999...I just have to say after a brief overnight trip to center city Philadelphia, images that most stay in my mind are the tremendous skyscrapers, magnificent architecture, the hustle-bustle of people going who-knows-where, and the group of homeless people carrying boxes on their backs, setting up camp for the night, over the steam vent of a building--amazingly I saw a sense of accomplishment as they completed the task and the others ooed and awed over the guy with the huge box with a tarp overtop, all stopping as they walked by to "admire" and he seemed very proud--in his world. Please don't misunderstand me, I am compassionate and care about what ails the world, but-- honestly this is how I saw it.
Dec. 28, 1999...Well now's the time, if we all survive the millennnium, to make and keep those resolutions AND to get FIT. Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually...(I know! I know! just what is that?--it's an individual thing--be at inner peace with yourself.)..Oh and I hope to organize my life and home better too...HA!..good one, huh???? PS**Not to be panicing or anything, BUT if you have anything that runs from a computer chip you might want to check if it's going to work after midnight?????..
Dec. 27, 1999...Well I was actually sitting on this 883 HD sportster Lehman Trike conversion upgrated to 1200CC motor, actually talked figures to the salesmen, financing and then Carl & Justine gave us a lecture about paying for their college educations.....*poof*..now we're back down to earth...Click HERE to see a pic.
Dec. 26, 1999...Here's the basics they are recommending for the Y2K Preparedness:Be sure to stock up on bottled water, batteries and candles.
- Stock up on the basics like milk, juice and bread.
- Fill your gas tank in your car.
- Charge your cell phone batteries.
- Keep a little extra money on hand.
- Prepare as you would for any other emergency such as a snow-storm...Are you prepared???
Dec. 26, 1999...Christmas Day just begins the celebration of Christ's birth and the joyous celebration. Too easily we think all is over. Now is the time to reflect, enjoy, and rejoice in the many blessings we have. The epiphany season upon us, spread the news, and let your voice be heard.
Dec. 25, 1999...Merry Christmas to All...Light of the World Shine in all our Lives...
Dec. 23, 1999...The day before christmas and all through the mall, the blank stares of shoppers...was making me chuckle! like they all ran out of ideas, looking "dazed & confused?"; zombie shoppers/no destination/no clue!... then there were the tons of men, who came out in droves, at the very last moment--clad with packages galore! (Is that fair or what?!)...so as the hour draws near and the shoppers change, I look and I chuckle because I see things this way--(I just can't help it!) so when YOU look around really take notice the lovely cast of characters that make my day....: )..Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Dec. 22, 1999...Have to say, those Christmas Songs over & over at work??...well, there is at least five versions of "I'll be home for Christmas", and I have heard them ALL! & in one day, more than once, are they playing my song?...Dave's song???..."Our song???"...Like things aren't tough enough and I have to hear that all day--AND now I'm starting to sing along!..not just humming; SINGING! YIKES!...
Dec. 21, 1999...Happy Birthday to Justine..la-la-la~~~!!!...gosh, I remember 15!...Oh no!
Dec. 20, 1999...Gosh it's getting real close to the new year, ya have to wonder---if something really happens when it hits midnight, can the east coast call the west coast and warn them? how will that work, California is three hours behind us, so will we get whammied first???? Ya gotta wonder about that....I do...and will Japan or Australia warn us? *giggles*...just my silly thoughts...HELP!!!
Dec. 18, 1999...What's all this about Britney Spears? Everywhere I look I see her or something about her? She sure is cute and all but gosh she must have good public relations people...She's Everywhere! They even made a doll of her!..her, Woody, and Buzz....*giggles*
Dec. 17, 1999...Hey! Today..I saw a few bikes out! Do you believe that?! 41 degrees in December--could be because I was heading to the HD Shop but still, was a good sight, one was a girl even! Inspiring to me--real die hard HD fans! Br-r-mmm!!! mmm!
Dec. 17, 1999...Those icicle lights?...when they first came out, I loved them!..and so did everybody else because EVERYBODY has them now!...now they all look the same...*sigh*...just my opinion, they're all over the place! Jumpin Jeepers!
Dec. 16, 1999...Soon as the holiday is over and I get a little free time (ONE WEEK VACATION YIPPEE!)..I'm going to finally put pics up from the hilarious "Sensuous Senator"..so stay tuned...Some of the pics are as funny as the show!
Dec. 16, 1999..Okay, for the moment I am breathing easier, I actually bought some presents! Hurray! I have to admit this was one pre-Christmas shopping trip where there were no whining, tired children, shamefully nasty parents cussing at them, and all the salesclerks and customers waiting in line were pleasant! What a nice experience! Waiting in the gift wrap line I thought how we all sometimes need an excuse to stop and just wait..to quietly ponder, look around, and take in all that's around us...some quiet time. Much too often life is too much hustle & bustle...Take a deep breathe and smile..oh yes, I even got a couple smiles from kids today! I just LOVE that! One even laughed and giggled, made me smile & chuckle under my breathe---I didn't want to scare the mom, but anyway I smiled back and winked! : )
Dec. 15, 1999...Hmmm..I was thinking....about that tickling thing mentioned early October---If your brain can't send an "alert" message when you try tickling yourself..therefore it doesn't tickle...if we were like computers, and trying to tickle ourself, would we get an error message,"You have performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" Yikes! ..Don't ya hate that message most of all? Like get the handcuffs, throw away the key!...
...Oh yes, and I really do say Never and ALways and Forever when I really mean it...*winks*..just who weally, twuly knows when forever, always or never will weally be?
Dec. 15, 1999...expect the unexpected, and never underestimate expectations or overestimate surprizes...and vice a versa....have i been here before?...badda bing badda bong...feeling in a silly mood, does it show????..oops I forgot! I never say never!
Dec. 14, 1999...Until the holidays are over, I apologize to everyone I haven't returned an email, a phone call, or paid a bill(hehe--threw that in there)...please accept my humble apologies...Thanks Debbe, Daniel, for the nice guestbook comments, Rich...er' I mean Chicken, How'd you know this country bumpkin is hidin' all the deer in NE PA in my barn under dem thare hay stacks!! Dec. 9, 1999...feeling that rubber band effect again!!! HELP!!! ping! ping!
Dec. 7, 1999...More concerns..will the Y2K thingie really do anything? [gosh, that's just around the corner!]... if we have a New Year's Eve Party, a house full of guests, will our toilet will no longer flush after midnight?..with say only two or three flushes before the holding tank empties, and then what?....EEEKS!...whatever will we do??????..just one minor worry..hehe...
Dec. 6, 1999...Things I have been thinking about, but haven't written here....
Can you believe the goings on in Seattle, WA with the WTO talks??? how the heck did that happen? and I was just talking about Seattle & it's beauty...Go figure!
I am deeply saddenened by the death of Madeline Kahn--I just loved her in Blazing Saddles & Young Frankenstein, and all those wonderful Mel Brooks movies, we'll miss her...
Only 19 days until Christmas! Yikes!!!
Rich, I appreciate your sending a laugh my way today via Kathy...Did she ask where's your deer? hehe....and yes, I was humming to the country tunes! EGAD!!
Speaking of hunting season, how unfortunate to know that there will at least be one human death if not more during this season, I haven't heard any tallies yet but I know there were at least three hunting related deaths in the area so far...just my thoughts...I can see both sides of this issue, but----somehow it just doesn't seem worth it.
Time for somebody to sign my guestbook....
Dec. 4, 1999...What a simply incredible, unforgettable day! So warm!!! I know! I know! It's supposed to be cold, blustery and snowing, but I just loved today!..record breaking temperatures in December in the NorthEast!
Nov. 30, 1999...Why can't guys find things without a woman's help??? like if it doesn't jump out at them--they can't find it! What's up with that??? And single guys--what do they do? buy new stuff to replace what they can't find?? jeepers!.......Okay, in all fairness what's with gals going to the ladies room in packs?..I don't get it..that's supposed to be a private moment..I just don't get it!..Is it me?.."Anybody goin' to the ladies room?"..hehe...I just don't get it.
By the way, if your wondering?? The men's room @ 901 Pub has a mirror--just an itty bitty thing, at least that's what the guys told me...

Nov. 27, 1999...901 PUB, A great place to eat, but ya have to wonder about a place that has a full length mirror next to the toilet in the ladies room!--most ladies DON'T want to see that..and then go back out and EAT! YIKES!..(and I have checked, it's not a two-way thingie..*giggles*).
Nov. 26, 1999..Is this Bizarro World or what?..seems like we are getting winter Seattle, WA weather here in the NorthEast...it's been steady drizzle and warmer than usual temperatures for more than a week now!...guess that's how they grow those beautiful, majestic forests in the Pacific Northwest (certain regions get more than 140" of rainfall per year!)....speaking of geography----After this lengthy visit to Indiana, Dave 1. doesn't want to relocate there, 2. misses the northeastern coffee (no java wave, please~~), and 3. doesn't get the hoosier sense of humor, not abit!..like ummm--where's the joke??...duhhh!(PS. and unlike here--it's very FLAT there, no hills--no mountains--something to appreciate.)
Nov. 25, 1999...GOSH! Thank you, Joanne for your wonderful email and words of encouragement!..it means soooo much!! : )...especially today when Carl called me a babbling idiot and everyone agreed!!! boo hoo..Thanks!! Now I got my much needed pat on the back!
Nov. 25, 1999...Happy Thanksgiving!...Truly be thankful for all you are blessed with---the obvious and the less obvious..."LIFE IS GOOD!"
Nov. 24, 1999...Took a survey today---almost everyone has cooked the Thanksgiving bird with the giblet bag inside at least once, OR knows someone who did!--so if you felt stupid for doing so, you are not alone!...*giggles*...and speaking of holidays~~~~
Where I work, they play pre-programmed "Muzak", well they started the Christmas songs, not just one here & there but non-stop 8 hours!! Can you believe it?! How many times can I hear "Ho-Ho-Ho, Who wouldn't go!..." and "...I saw mommie kissing Santa Clause..."?... And this is supposed to get us in the Christmas mood?????!!!..To make matters worse, I am a habitual hummer...I don't even realize I do it--well now I am humming all these annoying songs! Yikes!

Nov. 22, 1999...The busy holiday season begins..take the time to enjoy the season and remember what's important--health, happiness, friends, those we love, how easily we forget in the hectic day to day activities.
Nov. 21, 199...In our final week of our church year we are reminded that Our Lord meets us in the people we encounter in our daily lives--those we feed, clothe, care for, love. May our lives be a blessing for others and may we recognize and accept the challenge of our callings.
Nov. 20, 1999..."The Sensuous Senator" encore performance was truly a success! We are left with a memories of laughter, love, and personal growth and just a little post partum sadness..*sigh*...

Time is the Life of the soul." Ibid...all I know is time moves much too quickly for me to properly define and enhance this soul... : ) and to experience all the wonderful things I long for....

Nov. 7, 1999...today's Sunday School lesson: "God calls on people to help maintain the covenant. God uses unlikely, even unwilling, people to lead, and God uses relationships that at first appear hopeless but later prove vital to the welfare of God's people. Though we are sometimes quick to judge others based on their outward qualities, we can be thankful that God choses people based on their inward faith." Whew! that's a mouthful!..am I an unlikely participant?..unwilling?..are you?...outies & innies?...something to ponder....

Oct. 5, 1999...Ask Jeeves is something!..asked about the tickling thing never expecting to get an answer and I did!...Can you imagine that?...Here it is:" this social aspect of tickling may not be as important as the basic
process of detecting things outside of yourself. Tickling may originate in what
psychologists call a "non-self detector" -- a brain mechanism that detects
crawly things, like spiders, on your body. That's why you can't tickle yourself
-- your actions are cancelled out by the "non-self detector" built into your
nervous system. With thanks to the National Science Foundation, we're
Block and Byrd for Earth and Sky."...so there!..Jeeves sure showed me!..Also, scientists believe tickling has to do with bonding and relationships! Wow...who thought tickles could be so complicated?!..teehee...Amazing!
