| It gives
me great pleasure to pen a few words on this illustrious work of Mr.Thiruvengadam,
who has embarked on a unique task of compiling the comments and compliments
of great literary figures about the Tamil Language.
There have been many books and literatures
written about the greatness of the Tamil Language but this compilation
by Mr. M..Thiruvengadam differs from others since in this piece of
work he has endeavoured to bring to our attention, commentaries by literary
figures such as Dr.G.U.Pope and Veerama Munivar who have contributed
immensely to enrich the Tamil Literature.
Mr.Thiruvengadam has also published
another commendable book titled "The World Hails Thirukkural" which
is a compilation of commentaries by leading persons on the everlasting
and ever-popular Tamil Literature "Thirukkural".
I take this opportunity to congratulate
Mr. Thiruvengadam for his fine works and contributions to the Tamil Language
and on his dedication and efforts in highlighting and spreading the qualities
and significance of the Tamil Language to the English- speaking world.It
is also heartening to know that such works and efforts are coming from
a Malaysian tamil writer.
I wish every success to Mr.Thiruvengadam
