The World's Strongest When Dr. Willow, a mad scientist presumed dead nearly 50 years ago, suddenly appears out of no where. He decides to fulfill his conquest for world domination. Of course with Goku in the way, this is lot easier said than done. After Dr. Willow kidnaps master Roshi, and Piccolo turns up missing. It is up to Goku to get to the bottom of things. Consequentially, Goku finds himself with Krillin and Gohan, searching the outskirts of the North Pole only to find Dr. Willow's 'secret' lair. Goku and friends must summon enough energy to defeat the mad scientist in order to save the world (once again).

This movie takes place in the earlier stages of Dragon Ball Z. If you haven't already seen this movie (which I'm sure most people have) it is a lot like "The Tree of Might" in terms of animation and plot etc. Like the rest of the series the animation isn't CGI or anything, but the character design is pretty cool, and the animation is fairly good compared to other animes that were produced during its time.

Length is definitely a negative for all DBZ movies. With the exception of the first Brolli movie, all DBZ movies are only about 40-60 minutes long… and I hate that! A movie or OAV should be way longer than an hour. Considering how expensive anime is, they should at least be around two hours! Like the other DBZ movies in the series, The World's Strongest feels rushed. One moment Master Roshi is flipping through a dirty magazine and a few minutes later he's being held captive in the North Pole!

Ahhhhh…last but not least the voice acting was good. I really like the old voice actors for DBZ. They have something that the new voice actors don't…hmmm…what could it be (A-Ha) SKILL. You won't be disappointed with the dub, perhaps the translation. But I can pretty much guarantee that the dub in English is just as good as some of the original voices in the Japanese version. My normal analysis to all DBZ movies is that if you liked the series than you will probably like this movie.
