Okay, first things first.  You have just erected a high-profile doghouse in your back yard.  How do you keep it from blowing away during a storm?

Well, my solution is by making sure that all pieces are connected to one another, and then using what you see here.  I purchased a set of four (4) of large screw hooks, large turn-buckles and those "dog tie-out yard screws" that you screw into the ground.  They have that large "hoop" on top to fasten to.
Once you are ready, screw the anchor's into the ground at the four-corners of the structure into the ground.  Go in as far as you can, but at least 1-inch from the base of the top "hoop".  Next, take your screw-hooks and put them in so they screw into the base of the dog-house, not the supporting 4x4's.  The base will be pulled downward on top of the 4x4's, then that on top of the blocks, making for a secure, downwardly "presurized" anchor.  Otherwise, if you were to screw into the 4x4's, there is little holding the dog-house to the 4x4's except a few screws at the bottom exterior of each wall.  Then add the turnbuckles.  Open them up wide and hook them to each fastener.  They come in all sizes, so measure your distance of need, before you buy.  Once in place, screw the turnbuckles down tight using a wrench or a crecent wrench.
