It is understood that at the time of sale, and/or pick-up date of animal or puppy, whichever is later, animal or puppy is not intended to be of "show quality", but is representative of its breed as a companion and/or pet only, further being sold "as-is" with all normal reproductive organs in place, unless otherwise noted, and is not saying that animal could not potentially become "show quality" later on. VERY IMPORTANT - REQUIRED MANDATORY CHECK-UP: New owner/buyer MUST take animal or puppy to a State Licensed Veterinarian for an official office visit for complete health check-up. Timing begins once new owner has taken possesson of animal. Mandatory vet visit to be WITHIN THREE (3) DAYS (72-hours) from date & time of taking possession, further continuing or starting the required regimen of shots. REQUIRED - A copy of said report from 1st Vet visit MUST be mailed to us for proof of examination and RECEIVED within ten (10) business days after exam for our records. If animal or puppy is NOT seen by said vet within 72-hour deadline, and/or if report is not sent to us for verification & confirmation, then Contract and all Guarantees, written, verbal or implied, become null & void, and, AKC registration papers WILL NOT be sent or issued to new owner(s). WE WILL CALL AND CONFIRM WITH YOUR VET THAT PUP WAS SEEN WITHIN TIME FRAME GIVEN. Once vet visit has been verified, then and only then will this qualify AKC paperwork to be released by us and issued to new owner(s). Animal or puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery to new owner, as animal has been examined by our Vet and has been given necessary shots and worming, if any, as noted above. Guarantee does not extend to or against conditions that can be brought on by stress or exposure to adverse conditions that we cannot control when said animal/puppy leaves our care/possession. Therefore, including but not limited to, we do not guarantee against Hypoglycemia, Hypothermia, Exposure, Coccidiosis, Parasites, Viral or Bacterial infections, Starvation, Malnutrition, Carelessness, Gross Negligence, or by other public or private source including but not limited to travel/transportation method(s), containment (or lack thereof), or by gas, liquid, chemical, solid, air, impact, blunt force, dropping, twisting, concussion, sonic, physical, human, child of any age or animal, that may cause harm/death to said animal or puppy, also including reaction to vaccine's, medicines or ingestion or absorbsion of any substance, plant, chemical, toxin or food. Once animal or puppy has been delivered and/or accepted by new owner/buyer, all care and expense for said animal becomes the sole (100%) responsibility of the new owner or buyer. Seller's responsibility for care and health of animal or puppy ends at time of delivery to new owner/buyer. Once you, the new owner(s)/buyer(s) sign either appropriate paper's (i.e. this Contract and/or AKC Registration), that animal and/or puppy is 100% your responsibility and liability - period. ALL PUPPIES ARE SOLD AS PETS ONLY. No guarantee is made as to size, weight, color, quality, disposition or fertility, and are sold in good health and presumed with all reproductive organs unless otherwise stated. We will not replace said puppy for any of these reasons. In cases of shipping and/or delivery charges, there is no refund on shipping or delivery fees. Size and weight of puppy should be between seven (7) and eleven (11) pounds at 12-months of age. We sell Miniature Dachshunds and according to the Breed Standard as outlined by the A.K.C., miniatures can weigh up to 11.0 pounds at the age of 12-months (1-year). Our dogs are within this weight range if fed/kept on proper diet of high-quality dog food such as Pro-Plan as we do. Standard Dachshunds (which we do not sell or breed) are from 13-pounds to 60-pounds plus. VACCINATIONS: New owner(s) are wholly responsible (100%) for the continued regimen of shots for their animal. Most importantly with those standard series of shots, new owners MUST direct and/or alert their Vet or animal care provider to NOT ALLOW THE PUPPY TO RECEIVE THE LEPTOSPIROSIS VACCINE (also known as "LP"). 75% of our dogs & pups show mild to severe signs of a reaction to this shot (this is not uncommon to ANY breed). DO NOT ALLOW IT. If it is administered, and you see signs of a reaction within 30-minutes to 4-hours (i.e. bumps all over like bee stings / "hives", swelling of face, lips or tongue, or general "puffyness"), get animal back to Vet immediately, or to a hospital for antidote. If you can't, then give over-the-counter liquid "Benadryl" to your animal OR IT COULD DIE. Ask your Vet how much Benadryl to give - any vet will know this. If you must or are "required" to give this "LP" shot to your animal/puppy due to where you live, tell the Vet about this WARNING and have either them or you stand by at the Vet's office with the Benadryl. We cannot and will not be held responsible for the loss of an animal or puppy due to reaction from any vaccination. We can warn you, but YOU must act upon it AND ADVISE YOUR VET. (See our FIRST AID page) ________ *If a Limited Registration is granted, new owner/buyer agree to have said animal or puppy spayed or neutered between the age of 6-months and BEFORE animal is 12-months old. Registration and Contract paper's will be witheld by Seller until veterinary proof of surgery is provided via U.S. Mail to us WITHIN 14-calendar days after surgery. Valid proof of surgery MUST BE SUBMITTED ON VET's LETTERHEAD, INCLUDING PAID RECEIPT FOR SERVICE. Upon receipt of successful spay/neuter notice from vet, and once we verify with vet that spay/neuter took place, Contract & Registration paperwork will be forwarded to you. If you move, please notify us of your new information. If we can't find you, we can't send them. Keeping your information up to date is Buyer's responsibility. We say elsewhere on this website, but want to make it clear - It is our intent to insure proper placement of all our puppies into any household, further taking into account the new owner's ability of care, food, shelter, promises made (promises broken) as well as human events occurring within said household that would or will affect the puppy's "quality of life" where the animal or puppy will be placed. With that, we reserve the right to refuse sale of any animal up to and including through the delivery date. If a deposit is on record, deposit will be refunded with no penalties deducted or extra paid out for cancellation of sale or buyer's inconvenience. We would rather inconvenience a buyer rather than improperly place an innocent puppy into an environment that could be potentially detrimental or harmful to said puppy. BUYER(s) AKNOLEDGEMENT: I/We hereby state that I/we the buyer(s) have read this Contract and Guarantee and fully understand and/or comprehend it, and that all questions have been addressed and answered to my/our satisfaction. I/We further acknowledge that there are implied provisions REQUIRED of me/us to perform in order to fulfill contractual requirements and further ensure stated guarantee(s) remain in force. I/We understand that if I/we do not perform required duties and/or obligations as noted herewith, that this contract, its guarantees and potentially any AKC Registration, or all, will become null and void once stipulated time frame's have expired without merit on our part(s).
