STUD SERVICE:
We will NOT breed outside of AKC. Dogs MUST be AKC Registered. Period.

Stud Service is done on site at our home by a proven stud. You would need to watch your Dam very carefully as she progresses into her heat cycle. At the point the female almost stops bleeding, or even a little early, you would need to have the animal here and leave her for up to five (5) days. We will house, feed and water your animal with our food, or, you may leave your dogs food with your dog when you drop it off. You MUST have your animal tested for Brucellosis prior to breeding and bring the ORIGINAL report with you (fax it first). This test must be done two (2) weeks or less prior to you wanting to breed your Dam. If your dog tests "positive" (as in having the disease), we will not and you should not breed your animal. Speak with your vet as to treatment options.

Preliminary Conditions of Stud Service:
1) Your animal must be AKC registered, verifiable and on file;
2) Only Miniature Smooth Short-haired Dachshunds will be bred;
3) Your animal must be in good health and supplied to us in good health
        with no communicable diseases; be current on ALL shots and have
        no open sores or lesions; and be on heartworm prevention for no
        less than 6-months and no flea or tick infestations;
4) You must show proof of Shot records, Vet name, address & phone;
5) You must show proof of animals 3-generation (minimum) pedigree.

What You Need To Do (once above is completed):
1) Call us first to determine what you want and establish cost;
2) Have some idea as to when your animal is going to come into heat;
3) Three (3) weeks prior to breeding, make Vet appointment to schedule
        Brucellocis test and wellness check for following week;
4) Two (2) weeks prior to your animal being "ready" to breed, have the
        animal tested for Brucellosis;
5) Fax a copy of the Brucellosis and wellness report to us (Contact Us);
6) If test is Brucellosis "positive", stop here, seek Veterinary Care,
       make no payment.
7) If test is Brucellosis negative (meaning "no virus"), contact us as to
       payment options, submit payment;
8) In the last week as dog's blood begins to slow, stay in contact with us on a daily basis in order to set up timing and dog's delivery to us. We will work with you on what to watch for, what level of spotting is light or heavy, and if necessary we will travel to your house to inspect your dog (within reasonable distance). It is imperitive to not waste any "prime days" on miscommunication or non-communication.

OPTION #1:
Stud service cost: $300.00, up front, in advance, with no guarantee of pregnancy included, with or without hook-up. Every effort will be made to have the dogs "hook-up" at least 2-times to ensure a positive pregnancy outcome. Most take, and some do not. If no preganancy occurs after "hook-up", then you have the right to schedule your animal for another try on their next heat. If after 2-tries there is still no pregnancy, Stud fee is forfeited, this due to the food, care, housing and overhead of housing your animal on-site. If your animal needs medical care or becomes ill while in our care, all corresponding vet bills will be the sole responsibility of the owner, not us. Your animal will be held as "collateral" until vet bills are paid for by you. Regardless of outcome, Stud fees are non-refundable. Not responsible for miscarriages or abortions, or the quantity of pups in a expectant litter. Dachshund's can whelp between one (1) and eight (8) pups at one time, sometimes more, but very rarely.

OPTION #2 (Breeder's option only):
Stud service cost: $150.00, up front, in advance, with no guarantee of pregnancy, AND Breeder gets PICK OF THE LITTER out of your animal's litter, only if we think there is a need to do so. This is our option, not the buyer's option. If buyer refuses this option, then payment and terms will be based on Option 1 above. If no preganancy occurs in Option 2, then buyer will owe no more than $150.00 and can have the option to try again on the animal's next heat. If after the 2nd try there is no pregnancy, Stud fee is forfieted and we forfeit any future claim on your animal's next positive litter, with or without our Stud dog.

We reserve the right to sell, or not to sell to anyone for any reason and may cancel any sale or contract up to and including "pick-up or delivery day". Pricing includes all applicable shots up to age acquired, AKC shot records and the animal. Does not include transportation, mileage, insurance, health certificate, delivery, collar, leash, food, housing or crate, if any.
