I see life as a series of good and bad interspersed and experienced so I can learn deep down through and through my strengths and weaknesses.... I reach up and turn off the CD Player... Eric Clapton "Further on Down the Road" and the sudden silence reaches up and covers me. My sister in soul I write this here to you, carrying so much beneath the friendly manner you project - our high regard for each others intellect, wit, depth, feeling and savvy...quickly given over to shared appreciation of so much. Loyalty, values, unconditional love....finally evolving into an easy intimacy, an unjudgemental acceptance one of the other in total....despite the fact we live in utterly different worlds, as life tears at us and rends us...as the teeth of life cut your soul... I cringe and feel its bite here..in me *lays hand on breast above heart**** We are cut from the same cloth, sisters under the skin. Your exuberance, the droll wit that is your sword, and your flame, your humour and kindness and generosity of soul, undying loyalty and unflagging fierceness won me over. Not surprising really - since these too are my attributes. A promise You know where life has led me for many years now and I know the dark and tortured journey you cling to tenaciously, without respite. When it was so easy for me to let go and leave, I stayed for you. I will not EVER fail you. Always through the battles and the good times that we cannot see but we sense up ahead, I want you to know I will never fail you... I will fight to stay at any cost. Though all others leave us I never will leave you stand alone as life rages around us both. For myself I can sometimes barely find the strength. For you I will stand before hell and drag you back... for you I defy death...for you I walk into hell shielding you with my very life and with my soul. I will NEVER leave you, not in this life or beyond. |
