Standard II is significant as the primary concept is application of technology-enhanced instruction.  The applications should incorporate current  theory on teaching and learning.  The technology resources should be in a suitable platform that supports activities while addressing the diversity of students.  The learning strategies to use with technology should contain skills, goals, relevance, and motivation.
      The
online course proposal artifact uses technology resources to complete learning activities using Geometer's Sketchpad.  The course is evidence of my ability to be an educator in a distance learning setting.  I would be able to use the activities in the course to conduct a workshop with other mathematics instructors so they may use Geometer's Sketchpad.
      The
mathematical expressions database artifact provides for diverse student learning with a technology resource.  The queries and hypotheses demonstrate learning opportunities that I developed to effectively use technology for algebra instruction.  In the future the database could be shared with other teachers so they may use it as a technology-enhanced learning activity.
I plan to continue teaching online courses for the e-school in our district.  To do so, I will utilize current technology and find the best resources available.  The courses will incorporate the appropriate strategies for the range of students enrolled.  Additional learning activities with technology will be developed for distance learning and traditional classroom students.  As a technology facilitator, one must always create an evironment that engages the learner and uses their skills to learn with technology.
