About Me
                            A Short Biography
I am a high school mathematics teacher at County Prep HIgh School in Jersey City, New Jersey.  It  took me over 24 years , five colleges, and three states to earn a bachelor's degree.  Teaching has allowed me to combine my love of math and my love of children.
I am pursuing a master's degree in Educational Technology and  I will graduate in May 2006. Fortunately this degree will be completed in three years. I feel that education should be a life-long process; it helps a person stay young and healthy.
Travel and gardening are two of my favorite leisure time activities.  This summer I will return to California to visit friends and family.  A part of  my heart is in that beautiful state; I lived there for 20 years.   I am looking forward to the sparkling beaches,  gorgeous sunsets, and being a part of the Disneyland 50th Anniversary celebration.

Teaching Beliefs
I feel that teaching is a guiding process that encourages students to connect the real world with their studies.  Technology is a necessary component for a students education; it must be incorporated into their lives to be a productive member of society.  I feel confident that I am able to provide this learning experience to give students the ability to be part of a larger global community.
It is my firm belief that all students have the ability to reach the highest goals attainable.  If a student is motivated and treated with respect and fairness they will reach their full potential.  I expect all students to do their best and I model this by being the best I can be each and every day.
The enthusiasm for teaching that I possess will convey my excitement to my students. This will in turn produce an excitement for learning. Ultimately I will have transferred the responsibility of life-long learning to those I teach. Then I will know that my students possess the tools to reach their goals and follow their dreams.
