Xellos is our evil / good guy who you can't but to love. Being a mazoku, he certainly has to be
evil, but once you get to know him, he turns out to be pretty cool. Having both jobs of a servant
of a demon lord (Zelas Metalium), Xellos has imense power that could very well endanger the world.
He's known for destroying an entire clan of Golden Dragons and is also known to be a trickster.
He could seem to be your friend when actually he turns out to be your worst enemy. Xellos never tells the truth, and in fact if he does, it's only to satisfy his own purposes. He often manipulates people's plans through his lies. Sometimes he just happens to leave out the most convenient parts of situations just to have some fun and entertain himself. In Slayers Next he manipulates the group constantly to follow Hellmaster's plan whether it's putting their lives on the line or having to protect them from getting killed. Xellos and the word love don't even mix. For one, Xellos is completely evil, he couldn't even love somebody. However, if you had to chose there would be two choices open to him: Lina and Filia. Xellos probably knows about Lina more than anybody since he's been around longer than most people. Because of travelling along with her for more than two years it would only be reasonable to infer that he has some feelings for her. Of course you never know with a trickster. The other choice be Filia the Golden Dragon. Now this relationship is very far fetched since Filia is / was a priestess of the Gods and Xellos is a priest of the Demons. Being on the opposite end of things it's only reasonable to think that they hate other. In fact they completely loathe each other in the beginning of Slayers Try. They can't even stand to be around each other as much as talk to each other. They constantly bicker and argue and never come to a straight decision. Of course, through all this fighting they come to know each other better and therefore have more respect for one another. You know what they say, opposites attract! |
