For some time I had thought of going back to Shropshire to visit my ancestor roots. I would go to visit the places associated with my Madeley ancestors and see the villages and countryside where they once lived. My
wife, Doreen, and I had talked about it and so we decided to
go last summer in 2002. At Junction 14 we arrived at Stafford and took a welcome break and refreshments. On the left are the places we visited as we travelled through Shropshire from Stafford. Click on each place to see the photographs and comment. The order is the order of travel.
