Gnosall

Onwards again from Stafford, across the
A518 to Gnosall where my ancestor John Madeley, my 3rd great
grandfather was born in 1784. John was a bricklayer, and his sisters Margaret, Elin, and Elizabeth, were also born in Gnosall. Johns younger brother Charles was also born there and he too was a bricklayer. The parish church of St Lawrence was open and the
friendly wardens welcomed us.
