This very simple background technique was passed onto me by
Sue Shotwell from USA. Used with her permission. (Thanks Sue)

You will need :
3-5 colours of refill dye inks
clear report cover (like a large sheet of acetate folded in half)
    brayer
    2 sheets of glossy cardstock
Fine mist sprayer filled with water

1. Open the clear cover and put several drops and sqiggles of each ink colour on one side
     and then close.
2. Lightly brayer it to mix colours slightly and cover entire folder.  If needed add a few more          drops.
3. Now carefully open the cover and place two sheets of glossy cardstock, back to back with        the glossy side on the outside, inside.
4. Close and lightly brayer again to help apply ink to paper. Give it a few seconds to soak in and      then remove!

  Hints

*Put a piece of tape tag that extends out in each      open corner of folder so that you can easily open it.

*After you have coloured the first two pieces of       cardstock and picked up the colour, spritz the           remaining ink on acetate with fine mist spray.
Close acetate folder and run brayer over acetate.
Open folder and place two new pieces of glossy        cardstock back to back as witht he first printing..
This will be a pastel version of the earlier colours.
Yours truly made this one and added some collage efects to it for the swap with American friends.
The Heart is embossed & cut after making the background. It is then layered on delightful fibres before being layered on black on top of a purple card stock.
