As The Deer

Ruth Udtohan Psalm 42:1 "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God."

As the deer panteth for the water, So my soul longs after you. You alone are my hearts desire, And I long to worship You.

Chorus

You alone are my strength, my shield; To You alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my hearts desire, and I long to worship You.

Chorus

I want you more than gold or silver, Only You can satisfy. You alone are the real joy giver And the apple of my eye.

You're my friend and You're my brother, Even though you are a King. I love You more than any other So much more than anything.

This year 2007...(An update, six months later...

Ruth Udtohan It was six years ago that my sister returned home to our Creator. There are major changes and developments in our family.

Ma and Pa are fine, with "headaches"as they have 6 more grandchildren. Awing has two kids, Jhelmar and Kotik, who's 2 years old. Arlene has 4 kids, CJ, Ajade, Yakyak and our only girl Bayayan.

The family is planning to craft more of Ruth's website. Find out more when you'll visit this site.

This site was first created in July 1998 when Ruth was still alive. After she returned home on Sept. 9, 2001, this site introduced changes. How things can change with time.

Again, we welcome you to the official website of Ruth Persigas Udtohan (Nov. 4, 1983-Sept. 9, 2001). We hope to share with you Ruth's life: her carefree days, education, works insights, but more precisely her hopes, fears, sometimes even her secrets in life.

She was a talented young lass from Bohol, Philippines, however, her lifetime was too short, as God's plan. She was confirmed of leukemia, also known as cancer of the blood. This is sad for her family and friends, but the fact is it is not only her who have it, but there are many children who carry this deadly lifetime illness.

There were no research conducted in Bohol about leukemia. Therefore, this site envisions to inform the people about leukemia and how they can help.

Our challenge is let the innate beauty of your soul provide a beacon for others in this world of darkness.

Show to others how to live, and be an example for others. To choose life, show a zest for life and love others most especially the children.

Light your lamp for them (the leukemic children)all to see . You will find it can change your path and hasten your perfection!

We invite you to browse our site to learn about our work. We hope you will be inspired to volunteer or make a donation to help accomplish our mission!

She's Joanne

When I went to school, I saw a new girl in our classroom. Her complexion was fair. She had a high-bridged nose and her face was well chiseled.

The teacher called her to introduce herself to the class. She hesitated for a moment and said it would just be a waste of time since, according to her, everybody knows her. But our teacher insisted and she had no choice.

"HhmmmI'm Joanne, and I will be your new classmate," she said in her over pronounced, over-accented and over dictioned words.

More details.

Yasemin Tayfur, Turkey

They were "kindred souls," and "best of friends." Yasemin Tayfur is a beautiful Turkish who is Ruth's friend.

The two became friends for almost four years and exchanged notes about each other cultures, traditions, people and the land.

Yasemin learned Ruth's illness and sent her letters of comfort and told Ruth to be prayerful.

When Ruth passed away, Leo, Ruth's brother sent her e-mail informing Ruth's death. But because internet isn't perfect, she replied to the sad news but Leo didn't get it. To share her grief to the family, she sent a long letter dated Jan. 25, 2002.
