FACTS THAT FIGURE HISTORY Bohol province was created on March 10, 1917 by virtue of Republic Act No. 2711 � Tagbilaran became a city on July 1, 1966 by virtue of Republic Act No. 4660 � Tow significant revolts: the Tamblot Rebelllion in 1621 and the Dagohoy Revolrt from 1644 to 1829 � Home of Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, fourth president of the Republic (1957-1960) GEOGRAPHY � Lies in the Central Philippines, southwest of Cebu and Southwest of leyte and consisting of an oval-shaped mainland with 61 smaller islets around it. � Tenth largest island in the country � Tagbilaran City, its capital, is 630 kilometers from Manila and 72 air kilometers from Cebu City POLITICAL SUBDIVISION � Consists of 47 municipalities and one city � Has 1, 109 barangays � First-class province POPULATION � 994, 440 for the province, 19.4% of the region's total population � Tagbilaran's population is 66,683

They were "kindred souls," "best of friends." Yasemin Tayfur is a beautiful Turkish who is Ruth's friend. The two became friends for almost four years and exchanged notes about each other cultures, traditions, people and the land. Yasemin learned Ruth's illness and sent her letters of comfort and told Ruth to be prayerful.When Ruth passed away, Leo, Ruth's brother sent her e-mail informing Ruth's death. But because internet isn't perfect, she replied to the sad news but Leo didn't get it. To share her grief to the family, she sent a long letter dated Jan. 25, 2002. Nov. 4, 2001- A birthday bash was held as Ruth's turned 18. Although she was not present physically,
her family celebrated the most significant date, after all, she had asked her family to hold a birthday bash for her. The said gathering was attended by Ruth's batchmates and circle of friends. Cousins from Ubay, Bohol which is
135 kms. from tagbilaran city attended the affair. Dec. 30, 2001- A beauty pageant for children was held on this date at the Udtohan residence, Booy dist., Tabilaran city. It was Cynosure's night which was participated in by 4 candidates. It was started last 1999, with Ruth as co-founder and official designer of the candidates' casual dress. Read here Cynsoure Night.
