MESSAGE
The news that the legal professionals and the students of law in our country
are forming the Law Students Association of India, gives me immense pleasure
not only because it is first of its kind in the annals of India, but also
because it has the potential of fulfilling a number of valuable tasks hitherto
not thought of.
Therefore, I deem it a pleasure and priviledge to congratulate them on this
important occasion.
In the context of the explosion of population in India and the consequent
spurt in litigation, the globalization process that will throw new challenges
to us in social and economic spheres, and the international issues in which
India is destined to play a vital role, I am confident that the Law Students
Association of India will be able to play a constructive role gearing up the
society to meet the challenges of change.
I wish the Association the best of luck and success in all their endeavors
at the national and the national and international levels.
