12.2.2002
Mr. Vismay
P Shroff
President
The GLC/LSAI Chapter
I am happy
to learn about the formation of your association. I convey to you and your
team the best of luck in your plans for the activities you undertake.
I would like to stress that in today's increasingly industrialized world,
coupled with the growth of the global economy, the issues of environmental
law are not given adequate weightage. I would like your association to take
up issues associated with Environmental Law, which would allow students in
India to gain exposure, and understanding of the subject which is, poised
to become ( if indeed it has not already) the most important field of study
for the next generation.
I believe that much good can come of your association and hope that you identify
laws also which you would like to see developed and work on them effectively
by implementing an action plan and following up on the same conscientiously.
I would like to convey by means of this letter my good wishes to your association.
Justice A.P.SHAH
