Lorane Highway photographs

SPRING

Looking uphill from Lorane Highway at Madison, the blooming cherry trees provide a lovely picture. These trees likely descended from the experimental orchard trees that were grown here during the early 1900s.

In 1918, at the time of the petition to establish the road, the entire area visible here belonged to Queenie Bessie Howe.

SUMMER

Standing on the corner of Lorane Highway and Madison on a hot summer day, it is easy to see why the area remains so much cooler than most places.

AUTUMN

Uphill from Lorane Highway at Paige Avenue, around Fillmore and Kervon Court, the trees show some of the most spectacular autumn colors of the area.

WINTER

Despite the inconveniences, some winter days are truly special. This is one block above the Friendly Street/Whitten Drive intersection.
