Thanksgiving 2005 My sister Emily and her husband James and little Henry drove down from Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with us. We had just moved into our apartment, so there were boxes everywhere. They were very patient with the mess. Em and James loved the Banyan trees. |

We all liked the beach, but it made Henry cry.

Our Thanksgiving meal. We had the usual turkey, stuffing, pie, and mashed potatoes. But Em & James made sweet potato rolls and sweet potato casserole, and I made Florida citris salad.

We went to the Morikami Japanese museum and gardens. It was perfect weather to walk through the garden. We're standing in front of a Japanese house full of interesting old Japanese household objects and pictures of Japanese culture in early Florida.

|
We had the chance to do some bird watching with James' expertise.

Henry enjoys a pinecone. We hadn't seen Henry since he was a newborn, and we enjoyed getting acquainted. He was a happy, obedient kid.

The Morikami museum had a fantastic bonsai exhibit. The tree in the picture is only about 2 or 3 feet high.

We went to Panama Hattie's one night for dinner.

Here we are saying goodbye after church. James had already changed into
comfortable clothes for their 9 hour drive.
Our condo behind us has a blue tarp roof from Hurricane Wilma a month earlier. |
