First Home (There's a lot of details
here, so only people coming to visit and decorating types will be
interested....)
We've rented all of our other apartments - but this little condo is our first purchase. There are acres of grass
and trees around the place, a walking path, and great management.
Rainbows and cable are included in the homeowner dues.
We're in the lower left apartment. We've had
some really nice neighbors. |

Our front room. Green is my favorite color, and Dave was nice
enough to go along with it. We both have wanted color on our walls,
(especially me) and buying our our own home finally allowed us to do it.
The whole house has less square footage than our Tequesta apartment, but
more than our Texas place. We've managed to rearrange and make do.
Smaller places remind you to acquire less junk. You can always hear your
cell phone ringing, and there are fewer places the cat and your
husband's chocolate stash can hide! |

Here is the dining room. We replaced the light and painted several coats
of red. We just purchased this china cabinet. The closet holds our washer, dryer and pantry. Color is like music. You enjoy it even though it's hard to put
into words how, and it may not mean the same to someone else. Obviously,
Dave and I like color. Bright colors! |

I've always wanted a yellow kitchen. There's also a green and a red wall
in there. Here I am painting it before we moved in. |

Here's the guest bedroom with it's blue wave pattern. (The guest bath is off
to the left.) ( I looked everywhere ideas and pictures of similar paint
techniques. So now, for the benefit of those who searching the web for

Here is a good picture of our cat Smokey with the bubble lights in the
background. It's such a fun room. It's got my craft supplies, our
keyboard and music, the board games, my shell collection, and all the
sports equipment and toys. I love being in this room! Every time I see this bright, pure shade of
blue, it makes me so HAPPY. Although painting made me tired, I became
happier and happier the more color I put on the wall. |

Our bedroom is orange; (we have to try every color. One friend commented
that it looked like a crayon box, and the name stuck.) We have a walk-in closet and sliding door
to the patio. |

Our master bath, which we just remade. It had this ugly metal-mirror
cabinet with one door broken and a plastic light cover. Soon we'll
replace the sink cabinet, too. |

|
|
Our porch is Dave's workshop. He gets the big storage closet
for all his tools and wood. He built a workbench, so he doesn't have to
build things on the floor. When he gets time, he loves to work on
projects. I love having every tool I could ever need, and a
guy who's so handy with them! |
