A Christmas Special of the resurrected quiz show, screened on Boxing Day 1997, was Lily's debut as a games mistress. The show attracted 8 million viewers and because of this good rating she went on to record two series in 1998 and another was televised in 1999, followed by a Christmas special.

The British Comedy Awards

Lily was nominated for the 'Peoples Choice' award but lost out to 'Only Fools and Horses' but she did win 'Best Entertainment Programme' for 'An Evening With Lily Savage'.

The Lily Savage Show

Our first glimpse into Lily's life and family, this six part series was screened on Sunday nights at 10pm and attracted 8 million viewers. The Von Savage Family Singers were re-enacted with Bunty and Jason and there were comedy sketches about TV shows such as 'The Avengers' and 'Blue Peter'. Included a piece of film recently come to life that the BFI went potty over. It was of Lily's grandmother, Erica Von Savage, who was a part of the thriving Birkenhead movie industry in the '20s and '30s and who starred in the masterpiece Shanghai Lil.

Whilst in Manchester, touring with 'Prisoner', Paul caught up with Liz Dawn and decided to make an appearance in 'Corrie'. He was propped up at the bar in the Rovers in one scene.
