Ben, you really shouldn't confuse these people. They have their consensus conception of Jehovah's Witnesses as being miserable people bound by talmudic-like rules and regulations, brain-dead robots walking in lockstep with the tunes of the faithful and discreet piper. Don't you see how they slap one another on the back and congratulate one another each time someone "zings" the Society?

Now you come along and reveal that we are happy folks who enjoy life? It won't fly. It can't possibly be true. Surely you and your congregaton live on some other planet? That must be the answer!

I've said it before, but will repeat it: All the Witnesses I know are such because we choose to be, want to be, and love to be. We are not such due to fear, folly, or mental feebleness.

For those who don't want to be, it's a big world out there. Go find something more useful to do than complaining, caterwauling, and sulking against Jehovah's Witnesses.
