Granted that not all XJWs are monolithic, however the tone of many on this board is that those who remain Witnesses are. Neither is true.
I do think that some XJWs are victims of arrested development. Somewhere along the way they found enough fault to quit or drop out, and assume that others should join them in their misery or new-found "light." I can concede that your personal reality is true for you; that doesn't make it true for me. Just as those who drop out don't stay in because I do, don't expect me to drop out because others do. To you, your reality; to me, mine.
I don't think I am trying to distract anyone with any exaggerations. I don't have to exaggerate. I'm not trying to get anyone over on "my" side, nor do I have to engage in special pleading.
The Truth is what it is for me. If it isn't the same for you, that's not really my problem or particularly my concern.
