February 14th
Made up
new firewall to fit across the car further back as there was a 2" gap between the original firewall and the bonnet. Modified and fitted the Sierra bonnet stay and clips to secure.

February 17th
Removed sharp edges from s/steel windscreen pillars, removed blemishes with wet and dry and polished with rubbing compound.

February 18th
Made 'P' clips for nosecone wiring and fitted clips and trim around nosecone.
Cut carpet to fit under dash to cover up any nasties that might be found by the SVA man.

February 20th
Fixed under dash carpet with velcro and trim screws. Refitted windscreen to check position of wing mirrors before fitting. Made up brackets to fit mini wiper motor under bonnet. Fitted grill to nose cone.

February 21st
Fitted
windscreen wiper motor to bracket on near side of bonnet and attached wiper mechanism through holes in bonnet. Wired up motor as per Rhocar site, positioned wiper arms with blades on wiper spindles. Drivers side parks to the right and passengers side parks to the left, both meet in the middle when working and literally touch, this wipes most of the windsceen. Finished by screwing bonnet to bottom of windscreen frame to make it solid.

February 22nd
Fitted washer jets and pipework from washer bottle to jets.
Fitted thin foam under bonnet edges to prevent vibration.
Fitted firewall and added thick foam to bonnet sides to make a good seal.
Raised headlamps to prevent them being knocked by the cycle wings when on full lock.
Put trim around all front infill panel holes.        Filled out SVA form.

February 23rd
Modified handbrake outer cable support on angle iron under car to give a smoother curve.
Fitted covered seats.
Fitted trim on rear wheel arches where the s/steel meets the fibre glass arch as I wasn't happy with the raw edge of the s/steel.      Sent off SVA form with 150.

February 24th
Adjusted height of front suspension, camber and toe.
Fitted nut covers to all bolts and nuts around front of car and foam around steering rods.

February 25th
Spent a few hours this morning ring around insurance companies for a quote for the car, the cheapest I found was from Graham Sykes at 130.29p.  This was for a value of 4,500 ,  fully comp, 3000 miles, breakdown cover with 100 excess. The rest were around 160 for the same cover with the dearest being 209.75p from Backford Bloor & Co. with 200excess.
Finished fitting trim on any edge I could find around the car.
Made up pad to cover centre on Mountney steering wheel to make it SVA friendly.
Removed the protective covering from all the s/steel body panels. (blinding)
