| February 27: I know it's late for Valentine's Day (had a 1500-word article due on the 15th), but here's Joshua's valentine to you. In honor of the occasion, he even turned his eyes red. |

| March 7: One of the results of Joshua's 9-month checkup? The green light to eat all sorts of table foods. Here, he tries a little spaghetti and veggie meatballs. (As you can see, they taste better than they sound.) |

| April 11: This weekend we went to the open house at U of I's college of veterinary medicine. Here, Josh meets a baby goat--three weeks old. Better than this, though, was Jim's encounter with the fistulated cow. |

| Summer: Joshua's acquired quite the duck collection over the past month or so, including six(!) as birthday presents. |
