Thanksgiving: Joshua sitting alone (with some assistance) at Grandma Laughlin's house. A big deal at the time.
Joshua visits with Grandma at Extended Day. He's wearing a bunch of apples for the teachers (who provided the gift certificate that purchased the outfit in the first place).
Auntie Laura tries her hand at feeding Josh. Note the vintage diner-style highchair they borrowed for the occasion.
Cousins Ferrin and Kaileb mug for the camera after Thanksgiving dinner. Kaileb has so much energy, not even the camera can keep up.

Joshua tries a little rock in his daddy's old chair during a visit to Uncle Doug and Aunt Carol.
With cousin Ray around, it's almost like having a big brother. Ray helps Joshua learn the ons and offs of riding toys.
Cousin Simon and Aunt Carol enjoy a quiet moment after a long week of Christmas activities, family gatherings, and photo ops.
The cousins happily enjoy the company of their great-grandpa.
Ray took this picture. It's my favorite of the many artsy shots he took (although his study of a rush seat is a close second). Look at the way he framed the light green chair in the background to interact with Nacole's shirt. And his unconventionally close shot of his subject creates a lovely feeling of energetic intimacy . I'm telling you, the kid's got an eye. I'm thinking MOMA in another 20 years.
